Donation harbour parking, limited spaces

A five because it won't let me give more—without a doubt the most beautiful place in the world. At the harbor, you can pay by QR code or leave £7 there; we put in £10 because they deserve a prize. To the right are benches and tables, and opposite are the sea and cliffs. Some old but extremely clean toilets, with a shower. There was even a tent on the grass. Wonderful!✦Translating

The third in a row of sites. Wonderfully located, directly at a picnic area behind which there is a small beach. Right by the sea with a fantastic view. Toilets and a small fish-and-chip stand are about 150 meters away at the first of the three pitches. The site is highly recommended and worth more than the expected £7 donation.✦Translating

parked 4 1night and spoke to a man called George n his granddad was the harbour master and he told me the history of the little place the castle was built for the free masons and his career is from where I am from a small world and I will be back and all the locals are really friendly a little gem

Best spot we've ever parked in. It helped that the weather was perfect. Lots of birds along that coast and even a pod of Dolphins late in the evening went past. We were the only people parked up and felt like we had the entire bay to ourselves. All the locals we met were so welcoming, chatty and friendly. We also had some sea food from the little shack just by the harbour. It was superb.

Paradise! A beautiful place to stop, overlooking the sea, with lovely walks close by. There are picnic tables and seats on a grassy area next to the parking and toilets close by. Please adhere to the rules! only two campers/MH's and please pay via the honesty box or QR code. We were the first motorhome there, a second arrived soon after us. Later a third parked, then a fourth tried to get in.

Wonderful spot. Really secluded. Beautiful location. Clean. Picnic benches. Toys for the kids to play with. And plenty of room for our large (10t, 9.3m) camper.

24/7 toilets and supporting a little charity. It was £7 for the night on 02.04.26. Lovely views, really nice.

Gorgeous views, three places to stop. Great little beach area (amongst others) to walk dogs. Public toilets and bins. All this for a £7 donation which you can put in a box or scan QR code if you have no cash. Bargain!

Sooooo over populated these days! We first came here in 2019 and we were the only ones here. Since then we’ve been back yearly. Each time 2-3 vans with us and locals in and out with their cars letting their dogs run wild. Might give it a miss next year

Nice spot but locals are frequently coming back and forth for whatever reason during the day and evening to turn their cars.Young dickhead thought it good to rock up at 10pm with brain dead music echoing from his little red car for half an hour then left after no reaction.A water tap would be handy .

Fab wee spot, quiet and peaceful and good facilities close by that are well looked after. £7 donation for the night is reasonable, was myself and two other campervans and plenty of room. The walk along the beach to below the castle is worth a visit.

Also suitable for larger motorhomes, although you should first check on foot how much space there is in the rearmost parking area. If it is already full and you cannot park, turning around could be difficult.✦Translating

Good place, great view, and all you hear is the sound of the sea. Beautiful walking paths. Clean toilet. We are happy to donate £7 for it. We arrived at 3:30 p.m.; by 4 p.m. the space next to the picnic meadow was full with four motorhomes. The front spaces are somewhat sloped but also fine. Fantastic spot. Drive right to the end of what looks like a path and there’s a big turning square. You can stay on that. Very picturesque and mediocre EE signal

Three parking areas available; we stayed in the one near the toilet (open 24/7) for one night and went swimming at the harbour. Very pretty view over the sea, castle and beach.✦Translating

This is a great overnight stay- the end car park is best out of the 3 near here. Own little beach, picnic tables. Grass area and toys in a box for children to play. Can let the dog out in morning as safe away from roads. Lovely place. Also Tasty toes seafood shack - we bought a big tub of white crab meat and was delicious with pasta. Toilets open 24/7. Donation box or QR code.

One of the best and few places for free camping in Scotland. These places make being in Scotland worthwhile. Sea view, quiet, and also suitable for campervans as there is a clean toilet. £7 is requested to spend the night, more than worthwhile. The money is put into a trust for maintenance.✦Translating

We spent one night only, unfortunately our wee home needed a pick up As we could not start the engine early in the morning, but a part of this we really enjoyed our first time here, we have been at the beach in the last 3 years that’s how we know we could come back, there’s an honesty box( we put £10, as we did not have change) but worth every penny, so quiet, so stunning, thanks for the harbour!
