Monastery nature spot, uneven ground

Very good spot. Absolute peace in the middle of nature. Clean. Shaded in the morning. The only drawback is that it is not completely flat. The parking area can be the starting point for a hike to the village of Chianciano Terme: 4.6 km. You can simply walk around the monastery, following its enclosure. Halfway around there is a picnic table and an altar.✦Translating

A very peaceful place, but if you go on a Sunday or Catholic holiday like we did, other cars arrive and park around you to attend Mass. We also saw a procession at around 9 p.m. Apart from that, everything was very quiet. We went on a public holiday Monday and were the only ones who spent the night. On the way, we also saw a possible roadside place suitable for sleeping.✦Translating

Spot is lovely. You feel out of the way as it’s a large parking space off the road. Sadly, an unfriendly couple in a small camper tried to take the whole area (which can easily accommodate at least 4 vans) and asked us to go and park elsewhere. We decided to ignore them much to their discontent. It was 8.30pm when we arrived. Just a reminder of the importance of us all being a united community!

Relatively small and very remote, dark gravel area. Access is via approximately 2 km of gravel road through the forest. Very beautiful.✦Translating

Was good for 1 night, wouldn’t stay there more than one as lots of people passing by in the morning & some cars also passing by in the evening. (I was there on a Friday night though - so maybe that’s why)

This place is private property, belonging to the nearby monastery. A man kindly told us that while we’re welcome, they’d appreciate a call to inform them of our presence. Please leave no trace and keep space for hikers. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful and peaceful spot with great trails around.

We slept here for one night and arrived without problems with our rather old 6-meter camper. The road to reach the place is easy to drive. It is near a Capuchin monastery; on Sunday a few cars passed by, but everything was quiet. The forest entrance is nearby and it is possible to go for walks. A place especially suitable for four-legged friends!✦Translating

Very quiet spot; we were alone and had a great night. The ground is almost flat and can accommodate two or three vans maximum without being cramped. No panorama, but you can enjoy a magnificent sunset by walking for two minutes.✦Translating

Beautiful spot between forest and monastery. Very peaceful; at night you cannot hear a sound. We parked with our rooftop tent directly under the trees in the picnic area. At the beginning of the climb there is also an excellent restaurant. Five well-deserved stars.✦Translating
