Medieval village area, tight parking

Impossible to park a motorhome because the spaces are occupied by cars. Emptying and filling are very difficult because cars are parked right next to the service point. I do not recommend it.

The spaces are really tight; we had difficulty finding a suitable one for our panel van. In the evening, we no longer felt comfortable around people who were presumably homeless and drug-dependent. They were living in a car at the end of the site that was no longer roadworthy. Although we often stay off-grid, we spontaneously moved to the excellent campsite.

would be 5 stars except the noise and singing until 4am by others in the aire who were at the concert. beautiful location, fantastic river swimming, Belle Village, great. just avoid on 17 and 18 July if you want to sleep, unless you have industrial ear muffs. I like Gouge Away by the Pixies, but not at 4am full volume

Quiet overnight area, with the church bell waking you at 8am. Indeed, the parking area is not clearly signposted for motorhomes. Some signs have been removed and cars pass through. At the town hall they told me that the gendarmerie comes to issue fines, but I have never seen anyone. I told them that installing a barrier would make things easier. But the years pass and nothing happens.

It is a shame that you cannot make a stopover; at €9, we feel obliged to stay a little over two hours. Otherwise, a very pleasant village, with an abbey to visit and plenty of nice, affordable restaurants. The motorhome area is not very well maintained, with potholes; pruning the olive trees would be welcome. Very quiet and peaceful.

Anyone who likes staying close to nature is in the right place here. Rain may cause problems, but that is always the case when you do not park on concrete or asphalt. The clearance under the trees is insufficient in places, but a telescopic branch cutter is part of the standard equipment... We would gladly return (7.50 x 3.30). The existing photos are very one-sided, but my upload failed.

Spaces occupied by cars, and indeed the trees are low. I paid for two hours of daytime parking; there was no question of paying more! When the police restore order, perhaps things will be different. The services are free, which is something at least.

Lamentable. The parking area is badly damaged, and I could not find the advertised services. The spaces are bordered by trees; beware if your motorhome is somewhat wide. Paying €9 is still expensive. Avoid at all costs.

If all you want is to stay overnight, there’s no complaint; the spaces are somewhat sloped but acceptable. The problem is if you want to visit the village: you have to pay €9 whether you stay for one hour or longer; there’s no other option. It’s a disgrace. A normal vehicle costs €0.80 per hour—total discrimination.

Area very well located for visiting the village and its abbey. The spaces are slightly sloped, but this can easily be solved with leveling blocks. The major drawback, however, is that it isn’t indicated which of the two taps is for drinking water and which is for the chemical toilet, so there may be confusion if you don’t pay attention.

Some spaces are slightly sloped and separated by olive trees with low branches that are somewhat obstructive. There is no longer any signage indicating the drinking water and toilet water, creating a risk of confusion.

Peaceful aire in a very pretty medieval village. €9:00 for 24hrs paid at machine - accepts cards. Service point simple but well designed - grill over black waste is tricky! Bins across the road. Cyril - vinegar distillery is worth a visit for tour and tasting.

Very pleasant night spent here. Very quiet, with just three vans. When full, it would be tight for large motorhomes. Note that the toilets are a little way away across the road.

Being labelled one of the most beautiful villages in France does not mean treating people like cash cows. Normal paid parking is fine, but having every camper space sloped, in a kind of yellowish mud, the service area serving as the village dump, and charging the full price regardless of the season or length of stay seems like a major exaggeration by the municipality.

Quiet aire close to the village. Nice walk to Notre-Dame du Carla. Spacious spaces, but muddy in bad weather. We confirm that parking is difficult because of the low branches of the olive trees.

Calm and peaceful aire. The trees are low and obstruct maneuvering. Very good for one night. No services.

Quiet place with privacy between the campers because of the olive trees. Wonderful old town. Everything is within easy walking distance. Many hiking options. The market is only on Saturdays. Gladly return.

Enjoyed this stop. 9e for 24hrs. Didn’t see the services maybe we missed them. Quiet night with just church bells. Lovely. The site was nice between the police trees. Good walk around the area. Found a number of cafe bars to walk to. Nice drinks. Lots of history and views to the river. Old town nice.

Thanks to the municipality for this parking area. BUT the motorhomes scrape the branches of the olive trees, whereas on the car side the pines leave more height. WHY not reverse the cars on the right and motorhomes on the left?

Great place for the price. Payment from 9 a.m. to midnight at the machine. At night it is very quiet and unlit; you only hear the church-tower bell. Water and wastewater disposal are available free of charge in the general parking area for everyone. Thanks to those responsible. The site is sloped, and when it rains, mud and large puddles form. Unfortunately, we experienced this.

We stayed here one night, lovely peaceful parking area under trees. Short stroll in to the lovely old town. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and a grocery store, tabac, boulangerie.

Pleasant aire under the olive trees, just two steps from the beautiful village. You can put out a table and chairs. The service station for water and grey- and black-water disposal is on the car side near the bins.

It is very beautiful here. The village is enchanting. The place under the olive trees is very pleasant. However, be aware that internet reception throughout the village and at the site is truly terrible.

It’s really good; bring an adapter for the water.

We spent the night without incident. We arrived at 4 p.m., and 90% of the area was occupied by cars! Only three motorhomes. We couldn’t find the wastewater disposal point, as it wasn’t signposted. Despite that, it was a quiet night and good parking for visiting Lagrasse.
