Paid lakeside parking, train noise

Stood for free since we drive a PKW. Got friendly nods from the staff and owner during the evening as they closed shop. Nice to be able to swim. Toilets were open during the night. A train passes by and honks as it goes into the village, woke us up at 5:30 but we could quickly fall asleep again. Overall a great place!

Had a lovely peaceful stay here for 1 night. Lots of other vans and young people staying in their car for the night. Men's toilet was unlocked all night. They were very clean and had lots of toilet roll and disinfectant wipes. There were cows in the field next to us with bells round their necks that you could hear jangling all night.

Beautiful and quiet despite the adventure park; the same prices still apply in August 2025! Some lake visitors arrive in the evening, but nobody minds the overnight guests parked in motorhomes or cars. There is a sign at the site with overnight-stay rules, explicitly mentioning NO CAMPING, the night rate, rubbish disposal and parking rules :)✦Translating

Semi-public car park; we were passing through on a Monday evening! €12 per night until 9 in the morning is quite reasonable. CAUTION: the machine accepts only cash or EC cards, not Visa. The lake is great for swimming, with a gravel bottom; there are surely excellent walking routes nearby, plus an adventure park directly at the site. Highly recommended.✦Translating

We spent one night here with our VW Caddy Maxi and were absolutely delighted. Apart from us, there were four other campers, but the car park is so large that we did not notice them at all. :) We spent the evening by the lake watching a beautiful sunset. We think €12 is reasonable, especially since we had searched for a long time for a “wild” pitch. There is an Aldi in Nesselwang. :)✦Translating

Many thanks to the municipality and the kiosk/adventure-park operators for the great opportunity to spend the night in a motorhome here in this magnificent location for little money. There are about 25 parking spaces in the lower area where parking is permitted. The meadow above is only for cars. Nevertheless, individual campers stood up there, some right at the edge of the forest, some with tables and chairs. Unpleasant!!✦Translating

It is a shame that despite clearly posted rules, there are always inconsiderate people who mistake a parking area directly by the lake—where self-sufficient motorhomes are allowed to spend the night—for a campsite. Dreamlike place. We still got a spot despite the May Day holiday. The location overlooking the lake is unbeatable. Very quiet at night and the view of the stars is a dream. Most of the site is level.
