Been here?
This is a quiet roadside place for up to 4 cars, overlooking a pine-covered hill, with the sound of a nearby river. It is suitable for daytime parking, but overnight parking is not possible or permitted. A woodland path 350 metres away leads directly to the Glendalough site entrance.

Excellent parking area for avoiding the official car parks that charge €15 for a camper. At 350 metres there is a forest path leading directly to the entrance of the Glendalough site in a few minutes (see photos).Translating
Good place to park to visit Glendalough, especially since the official car park wanted to make me pay 15€ for my camper van (the car rate is 4€) on the base that it takes more space, even though it fits a regular parking spot.
You can leave your vehicle here for the day, but even that is somewhat difficult. Overnight stays are not possible or permitted here, as the listing and signs indicate.Translating
We stayed there for one night. When we arrived there at 7pm the small car park was empty except for two closed trading trailers and an old van that hasn’t been moved in decades. We had a quiet night until 7am when we were awaken by an impolite ‘gentleman’ who claimed we can’t park here because they need to park their cars there to set up the trading trailers. So make sure to leave before 7am.
