8 Rue des Pêcheurs, 88400, Gérardmer
Been here?
This small, quiet daytime parking area is near the lake, bowling alley, ice rink, swimming pool, shops and town centre. Parking is prohibited from 23h to 9h, and municipal police enforce the restriction. The lot is flat, close to the lake and suitable mainly for small vehicles, with three spaces reported for small vans and two for larger vehicles. Recent comments describe free daytime parking, while one recent overnight report mentioned an attempted forced entry, so overnight stays should not be attempted.

Free parking, well located near the lake.
Pleasant car park for the day. No parking from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.; the municipal police enforce it. Well located for enjoying the lake.
Perfect, we spent two nights there without any problems. Just a stone's throw from the lake, flat parking—it is perfect!
Very good location near the lake and town centre for spending the day. Very quiet with little traffic. To be seen at night.
Beautiful place to spend the night. We stayed here for one night and it was extremely quiet, apart from the occasional passing car. You can quickly walk down to the lake, and restaurants are also within walking distance. During the day you can hear athletes on the adjacent volleyball court. There are also clean public toilets and glass recycling bins two minutes away on foot. In the town itself, seven minutes away by car, there is a car park by Action where you can get water (€2/10 minutes) and dispose of toilet waste.
Absolutely beautiful spot for one night! We were very lucky to find one space. There were only two motorhomes, and it seems difficult to fit one more.
We spent one night at the spot. It was quiet and we were not disturbed during the night. No height limit, and a lovely view of the lake. One thing to note: three spaces are available for small vehicles, but only two for larger vehicles.
At night, they tried to kick our door in. In more than a year of living and travelling in a motorhome, nothing like this had ever happened to us. We left and ended up sleeping in the Intermarché car park, which didn't inspire much confidence either. A shame, because the lake was beautiful.
Very beautiful view of the lake upon waking. A little noisy on Saturday night. Otherwise, a very good location.
Very good location.
This place is not accessible to motorhomes; the authorities made that clear to us (apparently following complaints from local residents). Parking is behind the Gerardmer tourist office.
Quiet place with a view of the lake and close to the town centre, with public toilets.
