Very convenient for sightseeing, spacious and free. Overnight stays are not allowed.
Big open car park. Also a big, unambiguous sign saying no overnight parking. Yet there's always one, isn't there? This one was complete with table and chairs. So unnecessary when there's a great free spot about 100 metres away by the football ground. Don't be that guy!
Large free car park, but beware: access to the town via the 400 steps is subject to a fee through the citadel admission ticket; there is no other option.
Great place to park your Campervan for a visit to the Citadel of Dinant which was fantastic. Free, but not sure over weekends. Be prepared to walk down & up +408 steps to the village below as the Cable Car is being restored.
cable car closed for extensive renovation
We stopped here to see the citadel. Lovely walks around. Large parking area; we parked at the back. Thanks to the local council.
We parked here to visit the town of Dinant. Be careful, the parking area is currently closed, but you can still park along the grass without difficulty. Also note that the cable car is currently out of service/undergoing work; only the 408 steps are accessible for going down into town and back up again.
Mixed P2 parking area on gravel, partly level; discreet overnight parking may be possible. This is the citadel parking area, reachable with a walk of a few minutes, followed by a paid cable-car ride down to the lovely town.
