Day parking, overnight stays prohibited

This is only daytime parking. I emailed to confirm. The reply said: you may park in their lot while visiting the AMP Libearty bear sanctuary, but overnight sleeping is not permitted.

DAY PARKING ONLY. Absolutely forbidden to park overnight, guard will send you away. The drive up is a bit sketchy in spots, especially if in a larger motorhome. Careful when passing vehicles going the other way. Tickets for the sanctuary should be booked online to ensure you get a spot. Last tour is at 11am.

We arrived around 7 p.m. and were sent away immediately. No camper parking. We then stayed 300 m further down in the cow pasture.

We can only advise against it! The guard received us in the evening in an unfriendly and silent manner, with his truncheon drawn. When we drove away, one of the two aggressive guard dogs attacked our car and bit the fender trim several times. The guard did nothing. During a phone call with the management, we were rudely asked to send an email, which has still gone unanswered.

We were not lucky enough to be allowed to stay overnight here before visiting the sanctuary, despite having a ticket. Unfortunately, the night guard spoke almost no English and referred us to the existing cameras.

Simple but practical place to spend the night if you want to visit the bear sanctuary. It certainly makes sense to book an admission ticket online in advance, as it gets busy. The night guard said it was no problem to spend the night there and directed us to a spot. The entire area is monitored all night by a camera and a guard. Three stray dogs barked but were friendly.

It seems that anyone with a ticket is allowed to stay overnight. Parking on the lower level should be avoided if rain is expected. Otherwise, you will need strong assistance to get out. (Except vehicles with four-wheel drive and a differential lock.) The dogs are very large but completely harmless. Apart from one, they even let us pet and stroke them.

We had no issues staying the night prior to visiting the sanctuary

Perfect for one night and being on site for the sanctuary visit the next day. The guard is friendly, dogs as everywhere, and we had a beautiful view. We had not booked in advance and were lucky enough to take the tour by buying our tickets on site, but I think it is preferable to buy the tickets ahead of time.

Very nice for spending the night before visiting the sanctuary. Be careful with other dogs if you have one. The guard is very friendly and warned us to sleep in the upper parking area if it rains, as the lower area is troublesome. No problems during the night. Be sure to book your tickets on the website beforehand, otherwise you may not be able to enter the sanctuary. We highly recommend the visit!

Planned to stay before visiting the sanctuary the next morning. Spoke to the guard and he was happy for us to stay. Beautiful view of the mountains. Bins available. However, wouldn’t recommend staying the night if you have a dog, there were 6+ stray dogs, all barking. We left to stay the night somewhere else so our dog could exercise. Fine to park in the day and recommend visiting the sanctuary!
