This free parking area is beside the water, with views of the cliffs and sea, small cafés on the pebble beach, and public toilets open from 8am to 8pm. Overnight stays have been reported as excellent, but recent information says height limits of 2m are signposted throughout the area. Police also required vehicles over 2 m to leave at 9am.

We had an excellent night. But at 9 a.m. the police came to tell us that vehicles over 2 m are prohibited. So we went up to the Castle car park, where there were no problems.
Unfortunately, there is a 2 m height restriction everywhere here. Although there is no access restriction, this is clearly indicated on signs. Very unfortunate. Further ahead to the east there is a designated campsite, but it also costs money.
