Towney Road
Been here?
A small, quiet fishing harbour parking area with excellent views of the sea and Slieve League. It is flat and sheltered in places, but the pier is used by local fishermen and the access road is narrow. Tide levels require careful checking: reports mention flooding near high tide and possible safety up to 3.50m outside wave conditions. The site suits a maximum of 3 motorhomes up to 7.00m.

Directly behind the seawall of the small fishing harbor. Great view of the sea and Slieve League. Very quiet because it is remote. A few visitors, but we spent a peaceful night there.Translating
Lovely quiet spot. We came here because the previous place was completely full. Nobody was here and you have a beautiful view. I checked the tide and saw that high tide wouldn’t rise above 3.5 m, so we dared to stay. I think you could also stand here with 4 m, but I would definitely check with a local if that applies.Translating
Regarding the tides, we were here with a 3.22 m tide at Killybegs. At the nearest harbor there were no waves despite the wind, and there was plenty of margin. I think up to 3.50 m without waves should be fine. A few recesses provide shelter from the wind. As peaceful a night as possible.Translating
Be aware of tide times: Turned up here an hour before high tide and the waves were already coming over the top. Informed by locals it would be fully submerged so we moved on.
Very quiet pitches for a maximum of three motorhomes up to 7.00 m long, as the pier is also used by local fishermen. The road to this place was very narrow whenever someone approached from the opposite direction.Translating
Beautiful place for a short stop.Translating
Very quiet spot watching the tide go in and out. No one else. Super!!!
Great spot for one night, the car park is flat and was quiet for us but the area seems to be in use by fishermen so be mindful not to disturb locals. Phone signal wasn’t good here but we managed. Had a very peaceful night here.
Great spot...right by the waters edge... there is a water tap, but I'm not sure if it's drinking water
Very quiet, with water available in a stone enclosure at the beginning of the pier. I would have added a photo, but there is no space left in the album. Flat ground. Lovely view. Close to the cliffs. Good internet signal.Translating
We spent one night here; it was very quiet and pleasant. The parking area is free, rather hidden and small, but very beautiful. We would come again.Translating
