1 Kegelbahnweg, 38700, Braunlage
Been here?
This is a parking area near the Wurmberg and a good starting point for hikes in the Harz Mountains. The ground is currently uneven from forestry work, and the rear section is unusable; the front may still accommodate campers. A road diversion brings occasional traffic, while the area remains suitable for hiking.

Quite uneven due to forestry work, and the road is being used as a shortcut because of the diversion. Nevertheless, we stood well here.
I only stopped here for a hike. It was fairly quiet even during the day, with a car passing occasionally. The rear part of the parking area is unusable. Yes, the ground is not actually level, but farther forward campers should have no problem finding a place. I would have stayed overnight, but I wanted to continue. Nice hikes are possible.
The site is completely rutted by forestry work and barely passable.
Quiet and secluded. Cars pass occasionally during the day, and in the afternoon/evening there are some walkers with dogs. Nobody was bothered by me, though, and I was able to spend two lovely days here.
Currently inaccessible due to timber storage. What a shame!
Okay for one night! Very quiet. No disturbances. No cars. However, difficult to drive on.
