Been here?
Knockie Lodge is a small, tucked-away roadside parking spot beside Loch Ness, with room for 2 large motorhomes. A short stone staircase leads down to the loch shore, providing access to the water and morning views. Traffic noise is noticeable but usually becomes light during the night. The location is suitable for one night, with a beautiful outlook and clear-sky stargazing.

Perfect one night pitch. We stayed on a Friday night and very little traffic through night and certainly not a disturbance. Safe as slightly tucked in from main road. 2 large motor homes would fit. Steps down to the 'beach' to enjoy a morning coffee on Loch Ness and look for Nessy.
Nice spot for one or maybe two campervans. You can hear the road but it gets quieter during the night. Beautiful starry sky visible on a clear night. Overall a pretty private spot with access to the lake.
As the description says you do get traffic noise but the view in the morning is well worth it. And you can always use earplugs!
I found a great spot, but I don't think it is the same one! the map took. me to a locked gate for private estate. Reversed back to small parking area. no restrictions. far away from any traffic or rds. total silence. blessful
this was further towards the bottom of the loch than is shown on the map. we pulled in and then reversed back into the single off-road pitch. a beautiful place to spend the night!
Beside the road, but very quiet at night. There is a reinforced area allowing you to get a little farther from the road, and we slept well there. Access to the edge of Loch Ness is very pleasant upon waking.
Very good spot, with a beautiful view of the lake, close to the road but large enough to move a little away from it. Apart from the car noise, especially motorcycles, which becomes less frequent at night, nothing to complain about.
Good overnight spot with a beautiful view. We were asked by some kind of ranger not to park on the grass. We had to move onto the asphalt or onto the gravel beside it. Parking on the grass is not allowed.
The best spot along the western side. Unfortunately, it is right beside the road, but you get a view of Loch Ness and direct access to the water, which is very cold. Unfortunately, there are also some midges. Great for one night at Loch Ness!
