Been here?
Campingplatz Berg is a peaceful campsite where guests choose a meadow pitch, with the owner present from 7 pm-8pm. Recent visitors found the sanitary facilities and waste services clean, while showers cost extra and electricity is paid at the posts. The site is suitable for an overnight stop or several days, with walking and cycling routes along the canal and into Berg. Some pitches require levelling, and the many posted rules can feel restrictive.

We stayed overnight at this site. €32 for two people and a dog is quite expensive, especially since the site has nothing to offer. The shower also costs extra. We were also bothered by all the “prohibition signs” hanging everywhere. Since the price-performance ratio is not right at all, we will not visit the site again.
The prices have increased for adults. The motorhome service and disposal facilities are not described, despite many, many, many notices. If you want to drive to the relevant sanitary building with your motorhome, you should contact the operator.
Exellent camping in a peaceful place! Very friendly family and warmly wellcome. Very neat places - showers toilets kitchen and caravan services. Well-maintened place. Beautiful nature around and nice walking /cyckling routes along the canal.
Very clean sanitary facilities and a friendly welcome. The best thing is the many walking paths with the dog, both long and short. Great for one night.
Very well-equipped campsite. We chose a place and then registered and paid at 7 p.m. The surroundings are great for relaxing.
No positive review from us.
Beautiful site! I have been there many times. In Berg, I also recommend the Knör inn at Platzl for high-quality traditional food. The price for the site is fine, but a few things bother me: there are notices about rules everywhere, which is annoying and unnecessary. Electricity at the pitches is outrageously expensive; I find that unreasonable.
Perfectly straightforward overnight stay. Unless you are on the row nearest the road, you will need levelling. Electricity is paid at the posts at the end of the row, just put in your pitch number and pay. Facilities are spotless. Short walk into Berg or along the sides of the canal if you want a leg stretch after a long drive. Quiet enough overnight.
Beautiful, peaceful, spacious site... friendly operators... clean service and disposal facilities... we will gladly return!
Beautiful campsite, great for passing through but also suitable for a few days. Everything is clean in the sanitary area. The owners are friendly and keep a good eye on the campsite. One star deducted because the Wi-Fi is limited and only works at the hut. It would be nicer if it were available throughout the site. I would gladly return; it is saved among my favorites! :) Thank you.
A real transit campsite. Perfectly fine for us. Clean toilet block. It is a shame that you have to pay for the showers. We paid €44 for one night with a small camper, two tents, and five people.
Well located, close to the A3. I use this campsite several times and happily for an overnight stop (VW bus, one person: €18). Very clean, very friendly, simply designed, drinks machine accessible around the clock, and a short walk to the center. Always happy to return!!!
We have rarely felt so uncomfortable: very cramped, with a multitude of prohibition and instruction notices, especially in the otherwise quite clean sanitary area. The electricity posts are too few; there is no other service at all, giving us the impression that they want quick money from travelers without making any effort. The beautiful landscape in the morning was consoling.
Overnighters/short term campers' pitches are before the barrier, on the right. Except the first row pitches at the very right (on the street side) ramps are needed. Early pitches on the street side are flat. Fresh water faucet teeths are not appropriate for hose connection (elec. plugs on top ?), plastic/jerry can may be needed. Portable grey water discharge into chem. WC.
We stayed here for two days. We could choose our own pitch. Unfortunately, grey water disposal is not possible, except by hand using a bucket. Showers cost €1 for as long as you want. Sanitary facilities are fine. Located right next to the road, although it is quieter in the evening. Levelling wedges are definitely recommended on the pitches. The pitches are also quite close together.
We arrived here around 6:30 p.m. and chose our own pitch. Between 7 and 8 p.m., a very friendly lady is at reception. We paid €21 for two adults with a motorhome without electricity. You need a €1 coin to shower, and then you can shower for as long as you like. It is a very peaceful place. Highly recommended!
Great place for an overnight stop. It rarely happens that you can simply enter the site and choose a pitch yourself! Sanitary facilities clean and in good condition. Friendly lady at reception.
Good, quiet and pleasant campsite. We spent one night in a van; levelling wedges are recommended. Hot shower with no time limit for one euro. Very friendly staff. We recommend the place.
Actually, a beautifully situated, quiet campsite with good facilities and almost direct access to the cycle path along the LMD canal. However, transit campers arrive in the afternoon, making it very noisy.
