Been here?
A pleasant, older campsite directly beside the lake, with shaded pitches, a small pool, a restaurant and a train stop outside. The sanitary facilities are clean, staff are helpful, and breakfast is included in the low season. Lake access is available, but the water is currently very muddy and can be knee-deep in places. The campsite accepts cash only, and insects or occasional nighttime disturbance have been reported.

Very nice camping area, partly with shaded pitches. Direct access to the lake. Unfortunately, the beach is very muddy. Helpful, friendly staff who speak German and/or English. Clean, well-maintained sanitary facilities.
The campsite is somewhat dated, but what a lovely little spot with wonderfully friendly operators, a delicious restaurant, a pitch directly by the lake with a dream view (no one can do anything about the mud or drought), and great wine taverns nearby. Hungary has a lot to offer; it does not always have to be Lake Garda or five-star style ;-) The sanitary facilities were always clean.
We were able to stay in the first row, which was great. Otherwise, the campsite is quite dated. Swimming from the jetty is incredibly disgusting because the lake mud is knee-deep far out. The restaurant food was good, but overall it was far too expensive!!!
The pitch directly by the water is quite nice, but there is a lot of goose droppings. What is absolutely unacceptable, however, is cold water in the shower! €42 per night in the low season, including electricity, is also too expensive!!
Nice campsite..!! Breakfast included in the price and it’s really good… Greetings to Zsuzska! :)
Overall a nice camping located in a nice, quiet spot. It has a (small) swimming pool and an access to the lake, and the train stop is right outside. During our stay tho at night there were an insane amount of insects everywhere, and still at night some kids kept on knocking and slamming their fists on random campers for a few hours repeatedly, including ours.
We were there a few days ago. We liked everything. The weather was warm and there were relatively few people. The only downside was that there were many flying creatures inside the hedges. We had already been there once before. If we happen to come to Lake Balaton in the future, we will definitely return.
Great campsite by the lake, clean sanitary facilities, and quiet, pleasant nights. We paid €30/11,900 for one night (rooftop tent, one adult and one child). Recommended.
Small campsite directly on the lake, quiet and spotless. It has a pool and a very good restaurant serving typical food at fair prices. €53 per night for a camper with two people, electricity and service point included. The campsite accepts cash only, the only negative point for me. Right in front is the train to Tapolca and the beaches along the lake, and the beautiful cycle path around the lake starts here.
We arrived without a reservation and still got a nice pitch in the second row by the lake. Unfortunately, there was little shade there; shaded pitches are further back. The washhouse was good, with everything important available. The Balaton was very muddy here, sometimes knee-deep, but there was a pool. The restaurant was also excellent. Dogs were even allowed to swim. Reception also speaks German.
Great site with lots of shade and peace, with everything you need: mini-market and restaurant. Sanitary facilities clean and adequate. We arrived on Saturday at 6 p.m. without a reservation and there were still two places by the lake available. €53 for two people and a camper, free Wi-Fi, electricity extra. We will return.
Very large site; the pitches by the lake are truly right on the lake, with a good view from everywhere. Showers, toilets, washing machine and more: everything is available and clean. English and German are spoken. Various houses can also be rented. I arrived late and had reserved; everything went smoothly and easily. Email contact was also very friendly. Everything was perfect.
Great view, super-friendly staff, 1970s charm, but everything is well maintained and ultra-clean. First-row lake pitches are relatively expensive, around €47 for two people with a van and electricity, but currently breakfast (okay) is included. Recommended! The restaurant is inexpensive in the evening and quite decent.
Absolutely okay. Shady. Clean sanitary facilities. Friendly staff. Access to the lake via jetty and stairs. Good, friendly restaurant on site. Playground somewhat dated. Very beautiful surroundings.
Fun little campsite with 1970s charm. Not for people expecting five-star superlatives. Everything is old but spotlessly clean. Breakfast is included in the price in the low season. Nothing extraordinary here either, but we enjoyed it. First row with an incredible view over Lake Balaton.
Very nice campsite on the lakeshore. Large pitches. Tasty breakfast. The sanitary facilities are not modern, but everything is clean and functional. Friendly staff. Price for two nights: two people and a camper van, €73 without electricity.
We were satisfied. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good. But the price is not correct—it is higher. And ACSI is not accepted. We did swim, but it was very muddy.
