This daytime parking area has excellent sea views, with a country park, nature reserve and coastal path leading towards Amble. Dog walkers and cyclists use the area during the day, with access to the beach and surrounding dunes. Overnight parking is prohibited by a sign at the entrance.

It is forbidden to spend the night on the roadside or even in the parking area. There is a prohibition sign at the entrance (see photo).
Stayed overnight on the grass verge above the beach about 300m before the turning loop. Lots of dog walkers and cyclists during the day but only the odd car after dark. Great sea views and miles of empty beach to enjoy.
