Unnamed Road, 22940, Plaintel
Been here?
This large, slightly sloping parking area is a quiet starting point for three hiking routes along the Gouët. The surrounding wooded countryside includes shaded paths, small waterfalls and possible bathing areas. Nights are very calm, but there can be vehicle traffic during the day, and there is no bin.

Super pleasant and quiet place with a view over the wooded countryside. A beautiful walking path with three different routes depending on your preference. Slightly sloping. If you stay during the day, be careful if you have a dog or children... Some regulars arrive very quickly in the parking area.
Very large parking area developed at the end of 2024 to access the new hiking loops (red, blue and green) along the Gouët. The red route through the Chaos is magnificent. Shaded path with mini waterfalls. Swimming possible. We spent the night in absolute peace with cornfields all around. Flat gravel ground. No services, but free.
Large parking area, slightly sloping. The night was very quiet, with no traffic. The view is not extraordinary, but the location is convenient for accessing the hiking trails. There is no bin.
The works are finished. Very spacious place and very quiet at night; a little traffic during the day because of the hiking trail. Access is possible.
The parking area is not particularly interesting in itself, although the view is open, but it is quiet and surrounded by nature :) Starting point for hikes to the Gouët Chaos. WARNING: the day after we arrived, trucks, an excavator and major works began to redesign the parking area for better summer vehicle access. Access is temporarily closed. Thanks to the workers, who were very nice :)
Perfect spot, pleasant night and hiking nearby. Friendly people. I recommend it.
Small hiking trailhead parking area, without services. We like this kind of very quiet place for spending the night. There were only two motorhomes; there was still room for three more, but the parking area is not flat.
Isolated and quiet parking area before a hiking trail (very beautiful). Large picnic table nearby, although there is no bin on site. We were visited by an unidentified nocturnal animal nibbling our bin during the night, haha!
