Jaunsetas is a large, simple campsite beside a lake, with grass pitches, beach volleyball, football, benches and bonfire areas. Electricity is included according to a recent report, while earlier stays cost 25 euro for a camper, sometimes with electricity. Toilets are available, but the showers and washing facilities have been reported as unsuitable because the water is yellow, brown and smelly. There is no grey-water disposal or drinking water.

Nice place, electricity included. Would gladly return anytime.Translating
Large site, but very basic. Few electrical outlets and one sanitary building. Toilet is fine. Showers and washing dishes are not recommended; the water is brown and smells. Swimming is possible at the hotel next door. €25 with electricity for two people is rather at the upper limit.Translating
Large campsite with nice grass. In the middle of the season we were almost alone there. Sanitary facilities so-so with yellow water from the lake. Volleyball and football pitch, lots of benches and places for a bonfire. Price 25 eur small camper 2+1 without electricity (2025-07).Translating
The site is very nicely located and there are no pitches. You can park wherever you like. The ground is unpaved, and after several rainy days there is a risk of getting stuck. The sanitary facilities are outdated, and the yellow water does not invite you to shower or wash dishes. Fine as a stopover, but unsuitable for several days, which is a shame.Translating
Beautiful place by the lake with a restaurant. We were the only ones with a camper van, so it was quiet. Lot of room for the dog to run and play. Good and clean wc and shower, but only one mirror outside the showers. No grey water disposal and no drinking water. 25 eur for night for a camper.Translating
A basic campsite with practical sanitary facilities and yellowish water. No service station for filling or emptying, and the last 200 meters to the campsite are a washboard road. We paid €25 for one night, which we felt was too expensive.Translating
Beautiful, well-maintained place with electricity, toilets, and showers. The water is very yellow. No drinking water. Price €20 per night. Beach next door, and volleyball can be played. Boat rental, €10 per day.Translating
Great place by the lake. Very quiet.Translating
Unbearable. The number of flies is incredible. Impossible to stay outside. Water only in the bathroom, and it is yellow. We left.Translating
Fine for one night as a stopover. Racing practice directly in front of the beach. Basic sanitary facilities. No garbage disposal.Translating
Beautiful large site, with nothing going on (positive). However, you should park away from the lake, as powerboat training continues until 9 p.m. Everything else is as described, with clean bathing water.Translating
Very beautiful, quiet, well-kept campsite. Great view of the lake. Clean sanitary facilities. No grey-water disposal. Garbage containers at the hotel. Restaurant unfortunately closed on Monday. Drinking water is very high in iron. Very inexpensive: €15 including electricity.Translating
