Day parking, overnight ban

Not sure I understand the positive comments. Crowded parking, very expensive, you can't spend the night and you have to pay an additional 4€ per adult to access the beach (same if you access as a pedestrian). Scandalous municipality. We initially planned to eat at a restaurant but cancelled.

For €15 you can park at the beach all day—simply great!

Overnight stays are prohibited under threat of a €100 fine. You may remain parked until 10 p.m.

Second week of the Easter holidays: very easy to drive in, and at 15 degrees and sunny there was always a free space, even in the front row. Easy payment. According to the website, you can also leave the parking area temporarily and return later. As a day price, it is cheaper than paying €3 per hour at the thermal baths. We were not asked to pay the tourist tax anywhere.

Beach parking area: “Due to breeding areas and the protection of the Wadden Sea National Park, parking is only possible at certain times—from March 15 to October 31, daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.”

Something special in Germany :-)) In other countries this is completely normal and even free. We had good weather and wind, so there were beautiful waves and we had fun. The car beach was busy, and we can imagine what it is like here in high season with good weather. Everyone can read in advance how much it costs to drive onto the beach, so don't complain about the prices afterward.

The beach is quite nice, but €15 for one day plus €4 per adult tourist tax is really a lot. In Rømø you can park all day for free, and the beach is larger and more beautiful. We won't come back.

Always an experience. Pure relaxation... New: entry via license-plate recognition, payment at the machine or in the app... 4,000 spaces... €15 for a day ticket (7:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m.).

Wonderful, enchanting place to spend a day at the seaside. The price is excessive at €18 for one day, with no possibility of staying overnight. Very similar to Rømø (Denmark), but in Denmark it is FREE. If you are in the area, it is worth visiting because you can enjoy a day at the beach and the sunset. Four stars because of the excessive price and the overnight ban.

Great place, very close to the sea. Stilt houses with toilets and food facilities are available.

Cool car beach; €18 for a day parking space is quite expensive, but you don't do it every day. People are very helpful if you get stuck, and the view of the beach, sea, all the campers, and so on is really beautiful :)

Nice for spending the day, although at €18 it is not exactly a bargain. On a long weekend, we recommend arriving by 8 a.m. at the latest; otherwise, getting a front-row spot will be difficult.

Perfect... Drive right to the front and spend the whole day by the sea... The price is perfectly reasonable... We would gladly come back ❤️

As of April 1, 2023: parking fee from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.: €12. Permitted parking time is 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Plus a €3 tourist tax per person.

We spent a day there at the beginning of September 2022—beautiful! You can find things like this for free in Rømø, Fanø, and other places along Denmark's west coast... But we are in St. Peter-Ording, after all... Here, even breathing costs €3 per day (plus €8 for beach parking).
