Beach parking, overnight prohibited

I slept there last night. At 6:30 in the morning, a white van, about the size of a VW bus, arrived and wrote down the license plates. When I drove out, it followed me and charged me €20. My neighbor had already left at 6 a.m.; he apparently knew the game. I think if you leave at 6 a.m. you might get lucky and it will be free; otherwise have €20 ready.

The parking area is very beautiful, especially the proximity to the beach with a dog beach and the kiosk with public toilets. Overnight parking is doubtful because of the signs warning of an offense, but it seems to be tolerated. Do not put out chairs or tables. Very expensive: €20 for the night and €9 for the day. Arrival and departure can then cost €18 plus €20 for overnight parking. Motorhome pitches nearby are cheaper and offer more comfort. A visit to Heidkate is nevertheless recommended.

Officially, overnight stays in vehicles are prohibited, but the municipality tolerates them. The overnight parking fee is €20 and is collected in the morning by a municipal employee.

Great that the municipality collects €20 and everyone who stays overnight thinks everything is fine! Wrong: you are in the middle of a nature reserve in Schleswig-Holstein, which means a fine of up to €2,500. What the municipality is doing is a gray area; you will pay the fine. We prefer to skip this place for the night, otherwise it will come out of the holiday budget!

We have been coming here for many years. There have never been any problems; on the contrary. In the morning, the municipality of Wisch comes and collects the overnight fee. Completely fair and friendly! You are absolutely welcome here! The toilets are clean and there is fresh water too. But for anyone who needs more camping facilities: there is no electricity! And it is freestyle parking. Very nice that way!

Nice as a daytime parking area. Nevertheless, do people stay overnight there? The municipality apparently collects fees in the morning!?? What is actually going on? Surfers build forts with their motorhomes. Buses do too. There is no consideration whatsoever. We do not understand it. And the municipality watches and collects money. Beach visitors with dogs let them run free in the nature reserve?

The purest rip-off! Municipality of Wisch, you still have a lot to learn.

A very beautiful place! At 8:00 in the morning, a municipal worker comes and collects €20. In return, there are toilets and drinking water. Vehicles under 2.7 tonnes can park during the day in the rear, more beautiful section. It was a little quieter there.
