Garth St, CF24 2FH, Cardiff
Been here?
This city car park is close to Cardiff centre and has no height restriction, although longer motorhomes may struggle to fit within the marked bays. Overnight stays have been used without problems, but there are no services. Parking has two tariffs, with payment by app costing half as much as direct payment if you can connect. Road and railway noise are audible.

The car park is full after noon. With my 7.5 m Hymer, there was only one space for me, see photos. Beware: there are two parking rates. Paying directly or via the app is twice as expensive if you cannot connect. Visiting Cardiff by motorhome is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
We parked our 6 m motorhome there for a few hours during the day without problems, but longer vehicles will have difficulty parking legally within the white markings.
Good car park for getting into town. We were able to park our 6.60 m motorhome at the back against the wall without problems. Payment is either by app or at the machine, which was broken, so we used the app. The city is very close; also visit the market hall and eat Welsh cakes!
The car park is very close to the city centre, and we felt safe here too. For £14.95, booking through the app, we spent an undisturbed night. Of course, you can hear the road and a railway line, but we generally use earplugs for that. For a tour of Cardiff, the place was exactly right for us.
The car park is well located and large, and we felt safe. Considering that it is in the city, it was comparatively quiet. The city centre is easy to reach on foot. We paid £25 for the night because we could not download the app that makes it cheaper. For 24 hours, we stood more cheaply and, surprisingly, more quietly directly at the railway-station car park, although it is tighter.
