Riverside parking, weekend activity

We stayed for three days and two nights. Quiet place in the shade of the trees. There are not many pitches with tall trees. It stays cool thanks to the river current. There is some local activity—people in France go to bed early—and at 12:30 a.m. the streetlights are switched off. The toilets in the neighbouring park, open during park hours, are little used and always clean. There is a greenway next to it leading to the centre.✦Translating

Parking for vehicles up to 6 m maximum. Lovely spot, shade, benches, by the water, wonderful swimming water, restaurant/bar (closed on Mondays). Fifteen minutes’ walk to the beautiful centre of Périgueux. We had a quiet night.✦Translating

Indeed, a beautiful car park, but for a very small vehicle because my 6 m vehicle extends well beyond the spaces. Saying there are 20 spaces is not serious. Do not send standard motorhomes, only small vans.✦Translating

Great for sleeping and visiting. Good news: there are toilets right by the children’s park behind the bar, 30 m away.✦Translating

This is a small car park not at all suitable for our 6.8 m motorhome. We inconvenienced everyone while getting out.✦Translating

Perfect for visiting Périgueux. Fifteen minutes on foot from the historic centre, following the river. Suitable for vehicles under 6 m.✦Translating
