This free parking area has many spaces, drinking water and a toilet opposite, but recent visitors report noticeable night noise. It is close to Fort Saint-André, with views towards the Palais des Papes and access to central Avignon by bicycle or bus. Parking is forbidden on Thursdays and Saturdays from 05:00 - 15:00 for the antique market. There have also been reports of vehicle break-ins.

You need to sleep with earplugs. Toilet nearby, but everyone has to take their own rubbish away; there are no bins. Fort Saint-André is worth visiting. Check the opening times. Lovely town and beautiful view of the Palais des Papes.
Good spot near Avignon, secured by cameras. Fine for large motorhomes. Beware of the market on Thursday and Saturday, when there is no access.
Well located, but the night is noisy. There are no great options for large motorhomes, and it is near a cycle path to the center of Avignon. It is the best place to see Villeneuve, which is wonderful. We parked on Monday, when food trucks come, so if you arrive before 6 p.m. you can park without a problem.
The only safe, permitted and free place with room for a 7.5-meter motorhome. About 1.5 km on foot to the Palais des Papes. Obviously there are no services, as it is just a parking lot. I saw no sign prohibiting parking at any particular time, except on Wednesdays, which is market day as everywhere in France.
Very quiet place to spend the night. No services.
Excellent parking! Plenty of space and fairly quiet even though the road is nearby. Water point next to the parking area (fill containers; it is not possible to connect a hose). Beautiful village to visit, plus a bus right opposite the parking area to get to central Avignon!
Excellent overnight location, lovely view of the fort, many spaces, self-cleaning toilets, drinking water, restaurant on site and bins! A little noisy because it is near a major road, but perfectly acceptable. No height limit. We recommend it.
We stayed farther back on the gravel lot opposite. During our three-hour stay, we were broken into… The large parking area at the front looked better.
Perfect for visiting the town. Prefer this parking area to the others I tried if you want less traffic noise. With a 6-meter van, it was complicated.
We left the camper here to visit the city, and when we returned we discovered that thieves had broken in. They stole our phone-charging cables, a watch and the child's backpack, and turned everything upside down looking for something. Be careful.
Thanks to the municipality for providing this parking area. Good pizzas opposite from the food truck, and above all, do not miss the ice creams in Place St. Marc from the St. Marc ice-cream shop—excellent ice cream with tastings. I have never eaten ice cream this good, and the welcome was very pleasant. Bravo, we will come back. We slept in the parking area opposite, near the boules court. The barriers were raised and it was quieter.
Beware of the market on Thursday morning. It is not possible to spend Wednesday night here. We went opposite, where the height barrier had been removed.
We slept in the parking area opposite, right next to the boules court. The height barrier was raised. There was no prohibition displayed anywhere. A very friendly little bistro on the square opposite. This place is simply perfect, about 30 minutes from the center of the old town.
