A spacious roadside parking area close to the water, with beautiful views and access to walking routes. It can be popular and the road is fast, although recent reports describe a quiet overnight stop. Many mosquitoes are present in the moorland, and the location is close to the road.

Great quiet overnight stop.
Lovely small parking area. The road is quiet at night. Lots of mosquitoes in the moor. Starting point for hiking trails.
Too close to the road, but it serves its purpose.
The area is beautiful for a few hours in the day, with killer views. A popular spot though so not very peaceful and the road is fast.
It is next to the road, but the space is large enough that you do not have to park parallel to the road. From around 9 p.m. onward, it is very quiet.
Came here to photograph the Aurora. A constant procession of other cars, Campervans and lorries who left their engines running as it was cold. Then around 6 minibuses full of Chinese all shouting and laughing who didn’t leave until around midnight. To crown it another camper appeared who absolutely had to park 3 feet away from me. After that it was just lorries, cars and gritters thundering past all night. Avoid unless there’s nowhere else to go. This was February, God knows what it would be like in Spring, Summer and Autumn!
Next to the road, not highly recommended.
