Been here?
A flat motorhome area close to Sulmona's historic centre, with wide pitches, a picnic area, toilets, showers, and a helpful custodian. Parking or overnight stays cost 1€/h, and overnight stays include disposal and showers. The centre can be reached by stairs or lift, although the lift closes after 20:00. The area is generally peaceful, but recent experiences with access and vehicle acceptance have been inconsistent.

Very kind caretaker. Wonderful facilities, free hot shower. Level ground, a little sunny. Picnic area. Convenient for the historic center. Sulmona is worth stopping in. We will return. Ba and Fra.Translating
Very nice site manager. You can safely park for a few hours or stay overnight. Both cost €1 per hour. For overnight stays, waste disposal and showers are included. The pitches are level and wide enough for a motorhome with an awning. There are barbecues on the grass strip beside the pitches. The site can be accessed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. There is also a lift to the town until 8 p.m.Translating
One star is too many. Unfriendly operator; vans are not welcome. We were turned away even though the site was almost empty. Also, access is extremely difficult because of roadworks. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this man and the site. There are nicer options. No vans allowed!Translating
Great, peaceful spot on flat land below the town centre which is accessible by stairs or a lift. After 8pm the lift closes but it’s downhill and near enough town to not be a problem. Toilets with actual seats and toilet paper. Hot but not particularly clean showers, but have seen worse. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend due its proximity to the lovely town of Sulmona.
Very warm welcome, and above all, the person speaks French. Ideal location for visiting the town, on a decent site. Electricity, shower, and toilet. €27 for 22 hours of parking with electricity.Translating
I tried calling the number shown here, but nobody ever answered. We arrived at 8:05 p.m., found the new number, and contacted the attendant, who rudely said he could not let us in. The parking area opposite the fire station is better. You save money and can enjoy the historic center, with many kind people. Not recommended.Translating
Excellent motorhome area, very kind staff, clean bathrooms and showers. Very close to the historic center. Recommended.Translating
Very large, clean area, with perfectly marked bays. Plenty of electricity hookups and water-filling points. Perfect for visiting Sulmona and for day trips in the beautiful surrounding area. Very kind and welcoming managers.Translating
Very convenient for the center, quiet, with the managers always available. Good facilities, but the heating is temporarily broken because some camper apparently damaged it a few days ago, perhaps because, being a municipal area, they expected it to be free.Translating
Beautiful parking area, very close to the center. Unfortunately, it is poorly maintained. €24 per day (€1 per hour), with waste disposal and electricity extra, but the water at the sinks and filling point was unavailable because it was frozen. The bathrooms were dirty. In other motorhome areas at -15°C, we found water, sinks with hot water in the service building even in winter, and bathrooms that smelled clean.Translating
Excellent solution for visiting Sulmona; the lift that takes you directly into town is invaluable. The €1-per-hour parking rate is perfect. Hot water is available for showers. It is advisable to bring something to put your change of clothes in after showering, as there are only two coat hooks outside the cubicles. A small shelf would be the only suggestion I can make.Translating
We returned after three years. The place is currently very clean and excellently managed; there has truly been a huge improvement. Hopefully it will remain this way in the future. The managers are extremely kind and competent. The municipal administration also deserves thanks.Translating
Stopped here only briefly as I needed campervan parking for an errand in the old town, for which it's ideally placed. Access is very convenient and there's lots of room. The staff was very kind and helpful and I would return to stay if I'm in the area in future.
Excellent motorhome area, with all services. Very kind and professional managers. Bays are wide enough to open the awning, electricity only if needed, clean bathrooms. Perfect, I would say; the historic center is a five-minute walk away.Translating
You feel comfortable here. Plenty of space at this time of year. €1 per hour, €0.25 per hour for electricity. Nice and helpful couple. The town is worth visiting. Buy decorative or edible confetti—almonds covered in sugar or chocolate—to give as gifts. Gladly return.Translating
Municipal area managed by kind people. There are toilets and hot showers included in the price, with €2 supplements for waste disposal and electricity, while parking costs €1 per hour. In mid-October it is not exactly cheap. I still recommend it because the facilities are clean and it is very close to the beautiful town center.Translating
Excellent. Easy and supervised entrance: safe and quiet. Level pitches; all services, with green areas furnished with picnic tables and benches. Dogs are welcome, with plenty of space for them to run without bothering anyone. There is a bar and, once a week on Fridays, fresh fruit and vegetables are sold. Friendly and honest managers. In no time, the free public lift takes you to the center.Translating
Excellent motorhome parking, practically in the city center, accessible by lift. Very professional, kind, and helpful managers. Daily parking at €1 per hour. Very clean bathrooms; supervised site.Translating
A stone's throw from the center, reachable by lift or stairs. Friendly and kind owners, excellent facilities, and a fantastic price!Translating
Very practical and supervised area a few minutes from the town. Very friendly welcome. A slight drawback: the price is hourly at €1, and services such as electricity, water, and waste disposal cost extra, so the bill can quickly add up if you stay a day or two. Hence only four stars.Translating
We parked here for only three hours to visit Sulmona. That was easily enough. The site makes a very orderly impression, with clean sanitary facilities, which may only be used if you pay the overnight fee. With electricity and the waste-disposal fee, it is not cheap!Translating
Level area on asphalt, very close to the city center and reachable by free lift. You can stay for just a few hours, always at €1 per hour, in a secure car park with an extremely kind and helpful attendant. Good phone reception.Translating
We spent the day here. Very professional staff welcome. €1.00 per hour for daytime parking. Very clean sanitary facilities, supervised site, medieval village to visit using the lift next to the area.
Excellent service area. Quiet and safe for the night. Very warm welcome with explanations. Lift for visiting the town. Electricity, waste disposal and filling point, sink, toilets, and shower. Impeccable. The town is very pretty, with a grocery store, fruit shop, butcher, cafés, and laundromat within walking distance. 100% recommended!
Really beautiful! Convenient lift that reaches the center of Sulmona in 10 minutes. It has everything you need and more, such as toilet paper and free hot water without tokens, and the managers are extremely kind. We rate it as the best service area we have ever found.
Great location, host, and easy services. €1 per hour.
The service hours are roughly 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 3–6 p.m. Waste disposal €2.50 and filling €2.50, €5 total, with an attendant at the entrance.
Excellent motorhome area, equipped with everything. Very kind and welcoming managers. Bays are wide enough to open the awning. Historic center five minutes away on foot.
Municipal motorhome area managed by a couple of campers who know their job and do it with passion and extensive experience. There is also a bar run by the same family. Level, spacious pitches where you can open the awning and place a table and chairs. Convenient, well-designed service area for filling and emptying. Electricity is charged at €0.25 per hour. Parking costs €1 per hour.
