Nice campsite, pitches mostly sloping, but manageable with ramps. Great view and starting point for exploring the city and for all kinds of tours... Whether bus or directly into the mountains. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are very small for the number of pitches plus tent meadow, but everything is clean. We spent three nights. The location is ideal. You can walk to two cable car stations and even to the glacial gorge. In addition, the mountain views are incredible. But the facilities are quite basic (very far from the TCS of Geneva and Thun), the pitches are gravel (hardly any grass) and reception hours are not clear. The worst part, a road runs right through the middle.✦Translating

Great views, lovely spot to stay to explore Grindlewald, I just don’t understand the cost as whilst the services are very nice and clean, there’s not really enough toilets and shower a. However, it was a friendly place and we enjoyed the stay but 1 night was enough.

Three nights and pre booked a spot. Some pitches you will need decent ramps to get level. Very rustic site but functional and clean. Shower situation not really an issue and staff friendly and helpful.

what a view. All pitches on gravel, the sat navigation brought me to a tennis court- 100mt away. bus stop to town just outside the entrance ( free will camping card that you can get from the reception from 9 to 10am.) could do with some extra toilets and should as always full. stock up on shopping before you arrive.

Unfortunately not a good experience. The plague of flies was so extreme that a relaxed stay was hardly possible. The sanitary facilities could also be much better maintained. We had booked two nights, but left after the first night. Unfortunately not a recommendation for us.✦Translating

If alternatives were not lacking, we would have left again. Acceptable for one night, but unfortunately not recommended beyond that. 2 showers each for men and women, for (approx. 90+) pitches? Cleaning condition was "satisfactory". Pitches were mostly sloping and rather lovingly laid out. But the view is overwhelming in every direction! Next time with train and hotel!✦Translating

I would say 3.5/5, good campsite in itself: toilets, showers and water accessible for free (and clean). I deduct stars because it is quite expensive and you have to book online and it is impossible to choose your pitch = we had the first spot when entering while almost everything was free.✦Translating

Camping itself is great with good facilities. I had lots of problems with the automated booking system and the owner only being available on intercom. Firstly, the booking system put me on spot 1 or spot 2 only. The owner needs to change it. Both spots were cramped, next to the entrance while the campsite was nearly empty. Extending my booking by 1 night costs me the 5 chf surcharge again.

A really convenient site for winter activities around Grindelwald, there’s a local bus from the site entrance every 30 to town and the station enabling you to reach Jungfrau/Interlaken. Facilities are fine plenty of hot water in showers, electric included. Remote check in, no shop on site but there is a coop in town that serves most of your needs.

The campsite is really nice, very friendly and clean. We arrived at 10 pm. We booked and paid online, unfortunately very expensive so only 4 stars. The view in the morning was really great. Even though the campsite is on a main road it was quiet and the campsite was fully booked. The sound of the stream was calming. Rooftop tent and animals allowed.✦Translating

We spent a superb night there. The view upon waking up is just magnificent! The sanitary facilities are very clean. A minor downside (sometimes very hot) for the temperature of the shower water, but this campsite is great!✦Translating

Great campsite, small but with all facilities, clean and heated toilets. A little expensive, and they make you book online; they charge per passenger and also charge for pets. The views are spectacular because you are beneath the impressive Swiss Alps.✦Translating

We came on 10/10 and reserved our pitch online. it came out to be 56.40 chf for our campervan, 2 adults, and electricity (this amount inc tax). Lovely views. Nice amenities except the shower kept going back and forth from cold to hot. Washer is 5 chf and dryer is 1 chf for 15 min. It’s expensive but we needed to find a place to stay for the night and the other campgrounds were closed.

Second visit and glad to be back! For those that leave negative reviews, please research and understand Grindelwald - it's a unique place and that's why it's attractive and expensive! This site is in a great location and watching the sunrise over The Eiger is special. EHU are all Euro connectors and the young lady at reception is super helpful. More showers would add a star but all very clean.

The GPS gives incorrect directions on arrival. There is a bus at the entrance that takes you uphill to the centre. Reception hours are short and strange. There is no cooking area! The Wi-Fi does not reach, and the pitches are gravel and sloping. We went at the end of August. The sun does not reach the site until 10:30 and it is cold, but once the sun reaches it, forget it for the rest of the day: there is no shade. High price. Still, you have the Eiger right above you.✦Translating

Beautifully located beneath the Eiger. The area is incredible and the village is lovely. They take advantage of the location a little in the price... the campsite itself is not so spectacular. Be careful with the GPS when arriving.✦Translating

Nice location.. perfect Mountain View’s. Yes toilets and showers need to be bigger but not the end of the world. Showers are lovely and warm when you get one. Stayed 4 nights. Busy but quiet. Lovely spot.

Well situated for exploring the Grindelwald area , kind folks at reception but very dated and dingy facilities . They appear clean but have a significant mould issue in the bathrooms.Hard standing is useful when it rains heavily!

We spent two nights at this campsite. It is very good value for money, and having a dryer and washing machine on site is very convenient. The town centre is nearby for shopping, and there are very nice hikes around. The view of the Alps is great! The campsite is alongside a river, so it is a little cooler in the evening, but in any case we recommend it!✦Translating

Its only merit is being the worst campsite in Switzerland. I cannot understand what people who rate it five stars see. It is mediocre and extremely expensive. Gravel pitches, unlevelled and with no privacy. Reception is open only two hours a day, so if you have a problem there is nobody to help you, and the self-check-in does not work. Far from the station for the Jungfraujoch.✦Translating

Wonderful location, crowded but small campsite. Too few showers, 2x2 clean. Pitches are close together, with some noisy neighbours, which is bothersome. €70 for two people in a van is quite expensive. Little shade. Often fully booked—one wonders why the operator would make it cheaper... Nevertheless, we will return!

The surroundings are beautiful, but the campsite less so. There are only four grass pitches; the others are partly in the access lane at the campsite entrance, with no space for tables or chairs. Two showers for men and two for women are insufficient. The village is quickly accessible, with many shops and a playground for children.

A campsite with very little lighting; you can barely see and need a torch. Very expensive: two people, one dog and a small camper van cost €64, an outrageous price. We stayed there on 26 July 2025. Never again; I do not like being ripped off. They do not even display the rates.

Can’t fault the location easy bus ride up into the village where you can get anywhere and anything. The site is lovely, toilets and showers are immaculate with plenty of warm water. Washing machine needs cash but that’s no hardship the lady at reception was very helpful. It’s easy enough to walk into the village with well marked footpaths. WiFi is good but you need to be up by reception to get it.

Great location, the pitches are very tight and many are on gravel. There were no paths for walking our dog.

Good location for hiking and other activities in the area. Very good public transport connections. Pitches are tight, often sloping; toilets are undersized and outdated, and reasonably clean. Overall it is more like a motorhome stopover. The owners are friendly and helpful, though. A few minutes’ walk uphill to the village for shops and restaurants.

Peaceful site. Short walk uphill to town but bus stops just outside the site. Only two showers cause some queues at busy times

Very nice view. But the pitches are on a gravel road, very steeply sloping even with levelling blocks; the sanitary facilities are outdated, too small and too few. You are parked very close together. Repairs are postponed (broken women’s toilet door, men’s urinal). Then it is expensive as well—the value for money is not right here; the location advantage is exploited to the maximum.

The location of the site is beautiful, and the only “noise” is the sound of the Lütschine rushing; the view is magnificent. The toilets and showers are somewhat dated, but well maintained. The pitches are not very large, but with mutual consideration they are quite manageable. We are very happy to return!

Recommended. We arrived and completed the self-check-in. It is not very large, but it is located beside a stream and among the mountains—a dream. The toilets and showers are extremely clean.

Pleasant pitch, slightly muddy, with a superb view of the Eiger. The facilities are clean. Washing machine available if needed. Quiet campsite, with self-service arrival using the booking voucher. Two minutes by vehicle from the Grindelwald cable car. Price: CHF 56 for two people with an electric pitch and free sanitary facilities.
