Small, well-kept 10-15 pitch campsite at the base of the Sellamatt gondola in Alt St. Johann, run by a very friendly warden. Sanitary facilities are new, spacious and spotlessly clean; check-in is often self-service with an envelope for payment, or reservation by email. Pitches are level gravel or grass, though larger grass spots may not suit bigger campers. Expect around 38-46 CHF per night for a van with 2 adults, cash or euros accepted, plus a per-person Kurtaxe; dogs stay free and there's a 30% discount on the gondola. Water, electricity, showers, washing machine and wifi are included. Generally quiet, though a neighbouring rooster and church bells can be heard early morning. Great base for hiking, next to a small river and 5 minutes' walk from a shop.

Adorable little campsite with immaculate sanitary facilities, including soap, hand dryers, and clean cloth towels. Level gravel pitches, views of the mountains, and two minutes from the cable car. Three minutes on foot from the local grocery store. Cash payment; euros accepted. Quiet.

Small but very well-kept campsite in a beautiful location. Very friendly operators. Excellent, new, and very well-maintained sanitary facilities; I have rarely seen anything so clean. 46 francs per night for a camper with three people, including 13 francs in tourist tax alone. But it is worth it!
Very small camping in which we found a pitch without reservation, which is almost impossible in Switzerland during the high season. The place is very nice and sanitary very clean. We spent a very quiet night there. For 2 adults, a small camper van, we paid 42CHF. Cash only, but possibility to pay in €.

We went there for winter camping and appreciated the uncomplicated reservation, the very nice operator, the clean toilets and showers, and the proximity to the cable car. Highly recommended.
