Beach parking, daytime only

Access is limited to 2 meters. After the barrier, the “road” is very poor, but then you are right in front of and beside Omaha Beach.✦Translating

Once past the barrier, the path has enormous dips and bumps. Although we are used to rocky roads, we did not want to venture there with our extended chassis. A little too “risky” for a simple small sandy parking lot.✦Translating

Very peaceful place. Direct beach access. There were three vans staying overnight. In the morning, the coastal warden came by and only commented to one of us who had set up a rooftop tent. No bins or toilets. Please avoid giving poor ratings simply because access is limited to vehicles under 2 meters.✦Translating

July 11: Parking spot for lunch facing the sea. Feet in the sand, at the foot of the dunes. Warning: the road to get there is full of potholes.✦Translating

The spot is indeed superb; we spent the night there, but in the morning the coastal conservation authority told us that we were not allowed to sleep there. So it is only suitable for spending the day.✦Translating

Overnight stays are prohibited in the parking area. A little higher up, you can park and spend the night in front of the American cemetery.✦Translating

Good, well-located parking area. Limited by a 2 m barrier. The path has large potholes; it would be good if it were repaired when the weather improves.✦Translating

Spot below the American cemetery with direct access to the magnificent beach. The parking area and path are very busy during the day, but also in the evening and morning.✦Translating

Seaside parking below a famous World War II monument. Only for vehicles under 2 m. The parking area is full during the day but much quieter in the evening, when only vans remain. Fairly flat parking area. No services (please pick up your rubbish). Be careful on arrival, as the path is in poor condition.✦Translating

On Omaha Beach itself, with a 2 m height restriction. Our van fit through and we spent the night. Because of the height restriction, only vans can enter.✦Translating

Nice spot, very quiet, right by the sea. At 1.97 m high, we just managed to fit underneath. The only drawback is lots of dog and human feces in the surrounding meadows. Please take your own and your dogs’ waste with you! That keeps this beautiful place clean!!!✦Translating

Superb view, and the place is quiet. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a 2 m height barrier at the entrance. Around 9 a.m., vans arrive to take tourists to visit the D-Day landing beaches.✦Translating
