Unnamed Road, 6320, Sabugal
Been here?
A quiet lakeside parking area where swimming is possible, although camping is not allowed. The surface is somewhat sloped, and there are no services apart from a rubbish bin. Sabugal is nearby, and a marked lakeside cycling path leads towards the town.

Quiet and beautiful overnight parking area. The parking area is somewhat sloped. The lake invites you to swim, and Sabugal is just around the corner.
We went there in mid-April. We were alone. Absolute peace at night, waking to the song of the finch. We visited the town and cycled along a marked path beside the lake.
Good place to park and explore the area. NO CAMPING. We stayed overnight and were greeted by 2 park rangers the next morning who informed us that it is ok to just park but not to camp.
Perfect spot, with no one around except a shepherd and his sheep. Walk along the water and swim in the evening. It is possible to walk to the village via the paths: cross the dam and continue for 3 km.
It is 20 May 2025, 16:00. The only one. The wind is coming from the north. One rubbish bin. No electricity or water. With a dog. Previously we were at the previous site, Malcata area. You can stay there; there is plenty of space, but to reach the lake you first have to cross the road. Better here. But as someone already wrote, it is better to avoid weekends!
Great place for a quiet night. During the day on weekends it gets busy, with many people swimming, canoeing, or walking with children and dogs. Wonderful and quiet in the evening. Bins available. Recommended! Only 4 km from the impressive 12th-century castle—well worth seeing!
Superb view, but this is a parking area, not a campsite. If people keep bringing out tables, chairs, etc., this place will be prohibited to us. Parking is OK, camping is not.
A magnificent place to spend the night. There are no facilities. It was clean and there was a rubbish container. Quiet, apart from the shepherd with his sheep, and best of all, on a short walk we picked mushrooms for dinner!
We spent a wonderfully quiet night here. Views over the reservoir and a beautiful starry sky. Highly recommended!
What a lovely spot this was. After the people who came to watch the sunset had left, I was there all alone. The peace was overwhelming. Around 3:00 a.m. I woke up briefly to go to the toilet, and was surprised to see that all the lighting had been turned off. What a sight. And the icing on the cake… a shooting star.
Very little shaded space and quite dirty. The only positive is that the water seems clean enough for swimming, but the place does not invite you to spend the night.
Lovely, very quiet place. The water is good too.
Super quiet night. I was alone the whole time from 9pm until next morning 11am. Just beautiful and so peaceful.
quiet spot with green areas, swimming and barbecues...nice views
