Lakeside parking, daytime traffic noise

Spot beside the road and facing the lake. We slept here for one night. From 10 p.m. traffic decreases and we were able to sleep well.✦Translating

As others have said, on the roadside and the cars come past fast. But worth it for a flat spot right on the edge of the beautiful lake. no services apart from a bin.

We stayed overnight in the parking area. We stopped here, sat by the lake, went stand-up paddleboarding, and swam. But then we drove on.✦Translating

Great spot to park your campervan and chill at the lake. We didn’t spend the night here because of the busy road.

All the campsites were fully booked. This was a saviour. Side of the road so you hear traffic and the odd legend who feels the need to beep whilst driving past. But a stone throw from the lake which is stunning. Fills up quickly.

Fantastic location m, specially if you have a dog. Such a good swimming area. We stayed the night here, felt very safe but you are on the main road and very noisy all night and the traffic shook the van they fly past so quick. Walked into town for a meal, which was lovely.

Spectacular view! It is very noisy because of the traffic, but that was not a problem for us. You can swim in the lake directly opposite. Shade only in the morning and after 6 p.m. Behind it runs the cycle path to Annecy, 14 km away, or there is also a bus stop 400 m away.✦Translating

Amazingly scenic spot next to Lake Annecy, as per all lane side spots - there’s a lot of traffic during the day, through the night it quietens a little. Unfortunately you’ll get traffic noise anywhere whilst lake side - but a good spot none the less for swimming and admiring the view. There’s a few other spots on neighbouring lay-bys, but all are popular - so get there early !

Perfect spot to park for a day on the lake. We arrived early due to other comments but had no problem getting a spot. Bins across the road, and a grassy knoll where you can picnic and access the lake. Lots of road noise so wouldn't be ideal for an overnight stay.

Good parking area for swimming in the lake, but there is a lot of traffic because it is directly on the road. Traffic continues at night, and some cars drive past the motorhomes honking loudly, immediately disturbing the night's sleep. Unfortunately, Annecy offers virtually no free parking for motorhomes. This is a fallback option.✦Translating

Wonderful views but you need ear plugs at night as road is busy until midnight. To be honest Annacy doesn’t have much choice so unless you want to book a site this is a good backup

We went there in a motorhome, ideal for the day (free and by the water). Noisy at night but bearable. The only drawback is the road.✦Translating

Awesome place to park, small grassed area across the road next to the lake. Can be noisy as it’s a main road. Beautiful views of the lac and mountains. Rubbish bins here as well. On route to La Plagne for some April skiing.
