Bridge parking, height barrier

Large free parking area at the viewpoint: P1 and P2 are apparently limited to 2.20 m, but there is currently no barrier; otherwise, the carpool parking has no height limit. Free buses, until early July, for pedestrians and bicycles to access Île de Ré from the parking areas. Toilets opposite. We parked for the day while visiting Île de Ré. Otherwise, it is very noisy for sleeping.

It is possible to park despite the construction. Quiet night and bike ride to the Phare des Baleines lighthouse. 70 km round trip on cycle paths.

That’s it for us; they are in the middle of construction. I think we will no longer be able to park here. Three years of construction.

We spent two nights, with no problems, and it was quiet at night. Convenient for visiting Île de Ré and La Rochelle by bicycle. Cycle path nearby.

Good large parking area with more than 80 spaces, suitable for spending the night and then going to Île de Ré by free bicycle the next day; vehicles have to pay. The toilets are padlocked and there is a restaurant closed for construction. We slept alongside several motorhomes. There is quite a lot of noise because it is next to the road and airport, but we slept very well.

Very good views right by the beach, with a beach bar next door playing music. We did not stay overnight because of comments about nighttime noise, but it is recommended for a free stop.

Definitely not!!!! Loud! Lots of activity at night! It seems that not everything is above board. I can only confirm the negative reviews, including those about the lower spot with a view of the bridge! It was not a quiet night. I do not recommend staying here!

Parking very close to the bridge to Île de Ré; we spent one night intending to visit the island the following day. There are toilets and rubbish bins. Quiet night; there were at least a dozen motorhomes.

Parked here on a Sunday evening after moving from the other parking spot down the road. Felt much more safe. Still noise until late especially with bikes coming back over bridge. Toilets nearby are locked. No other amenities. Was ok for just spending the night. We cycled over to Ile de re the following morning so location was perfect for that

Perfect parking for the night. We saw none of the illicit activity mentioned in the comments; we stayed at the far end of the parking area and no vehicle was near ours. Great.

Beautiful view, but park at the back of the parking area, especially not by the water: all kinds of traffic throughout the night and lots of noise. Avoid this place. RC

Excellent place to hide among the cars in a panel van or similar. The night was quiet and relaxed—at least now in mid-November.

Very convenient parking for spending the night before taking the bridge the next day. No problems at all.

Perfect for spending the afternoon on the island. It takes 40 minutes to reach La Flotte by bike via the bridge with a child.

Arrived around 9:30 p.m.; only one van and many cars. The parking area looked dodgy and not very reassuring. We preferred to move away and slept in Nieul in a large seaside parking area with other motorhomes.

Free parking, convenient for one night to take the free shuttle the next morning from 10 a.m., which drops you on Île de Ré, and to rent bicycles for visiting the island. The parking area was surprisingly not too noisy despite its exposure. Bins. Otherwise no services.
