Paid lakeside parking, weekend noise

Even if it were free here, we would have driven on.

On our return journey from Italy, we stopped here in the evening. The machine did not accept our debit cards, or perhaps it was generally not working. So I put the parking ticket money in and left it at that. The site has no shade; otherwise it is good for a quick overnight stay.

To clear up all the confusing comments: If you pay at the machine, it costs €16 until noon the following day. With the Parkster app, you pay €16.50, including a 50-cent service fee, but get 24 hours. EasyPark is very confusing; we would have paid €20.40 only until noon the following day. So, if you have it, use the Parkster app. The site was quiet and close to the center, but there is no shade.

Very loud at weekends. There is a club or something nearby, and loud music could be heard until 3 a.m. The toilets are closed or locked at night.

Konstanz has managed to establish an official camper parking area. Last year we could still park here for free; now it costs €16 per night until noon the following day. Toilets cost €1. The location is close to the center, but directly on the road with some noise. Okay for one or two nights.

The location is fantastic! Just one minute from the lakeside promenade. A good starting point for cycling or sightseeing. Gravel lot, apparently once a car park and likely to be developed in the coming years. €16 payable via the app for 24 hours, NOT until noon but for 24 hours!!!

A gravel lot without any water or waste facilities near a noisy road. Price: €18 per night; parking always ends at noon the following day, regardless of when you arrived. At night it is a popular meeting place for young car enthusiasts testing the volume of their engines or exhausts. The advantage is that it is a one-minute walk to the Bodensee Forum; the city center is about 30 minutes away on foot.

The car park still exists or has reopened, but now only vehicles up to 6.1 meters are allowed.

Usable only to a limited extent during the day. The €15 price is made bearable only by the public transport ticket for two people included. Pure gravel lot with nothing else. Automated toilet building (toilet disposal) costs €1. Bus stop three minutes away, every 30 minutes shortly after the hour and half-hour. Beautiful promenade along the Rhine; shops and restaurants nearby. On a busy road, so overnight stays are questionable.

Warning: no matter when you pay the parking fee, the ticket is only valid until 12:00 noon the following day! Be careful. We arrived in the evening and wanted to visit Konstanz the next day. But the parking ticket was only valid until 12:00 noon the next day. So there is no 24-hour parking ticket! Not recommended, especially since the night was noisy.

There is always some traffic noise. Nevertheless, it is nicely laid out, with decent space and shopping facilities nearby.

We stayed there for 2 nights. The bridge is noisy, but because it was too cold at night, we did not leave anything open and it did not bother us. The city is easy to reach on foot and you are right by the water. All the campers stood in the car park, not where shown in the picture. So they were slightly farther from the road. The ticket is valid for 24 hours. Toilets cost €1.

Gravel parking without services, noisy especially in the evening. Buses are not included in the parking fee. Expensive for what is offered. It is a shame that a city like Konstanz has nothing suitable for motorhomes.

Conveniently located, spacious car park. Unfortunately, card payment did not work at the ticket machine for us. If you then pay with the app instead, the parking period always ends at 23:59 on the same day, even if you arrive in the evening. For €1, you get clean public toilets. Update: according to the city of Konstanz, a change to the parking app is being worked on!

Since the opening of the new parking garage, the number of motorhome spaces here has been drastically increased. It is only a gravel parking area without service facilities, but €15 per night and €50 per week including a bus ticket for 2 people is sensationally cheap for Konstanz.

Absolutely fine for 1–2 nights. The price is unbeatable. The toilets were clean. 2–3 minutes to the Rhine... Thank you, Konstanz.

The site is close to the road and construction sites. We stayed farther back in the car park. The road and construction work were barely audible.

We confirm the previous reviews, but the cost for a camper (maximum 5 people, including children) is €15 and the ticket is valid until 23:59 on the day of payment; it is not valid for 24 hours from arrival. This is not very convenient, nor particularly fair, but that is how it is.

Large car park but very little space for motorhomes. We parked at the back. Very well located for walks along the lake and to the old town. Because of the sunken washbasin, it is good for one night, no more. Noisy surroundings: road, pub, meeting place.
