This parking area beside the channel is near the port and city centre, with a walk of about 1 km to the tourist office and another 1 km to the old town. It is suitable for daytime visits only, as signs prohibit parking from 22h to 6h. The redesigned area is reportedly unsuitable for motorhomes, with another spacious car park near the microbrewery.

The quay along the river has been completely redeveloped, and the parking area is not suitable for motorhomes. A little farther on, at the microbrewery, there is a spacious parking area.
There is a no-parking sign from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., but it is ideal during the day for visiting the town. Follow the canal for 1 km to the tourist office and another kilometer to the old town entrance. For motorhomes over 6.5 m, it is preferable to park lengthwise along the avenue; there are some good spaces near the restaurant, especially in the morning.
