A quiet parking place at the lock, directly on the dike and near the Elbe. It offers a peaceful overnight stop, although the area can be disturbed by mowing work at 7 Uhr. The access is not signposted from the main road, and the place is suitable for smaller vehicles; there are at most two spaces.

Stayed very nicely near the Elbe.
A good place for a quiet night, in a turning loop belonging to the water management authority of Saxony-Anhalt. Unfortunately, we were disturbed at 7 a.m. by engine noise because the embankment was being mowed that morning. We moved on immediately and had a relaxed morning in the harbor. There are no bins, so please take everything with you!
On May 3, 2024, we spent a very quiet night. The cuckoo had been tirelessly calling for company the previous evening, apparently in vain. The access from the main road is not signposted after turning right, and the place is not marked as a parking area; it is more of a turning area used by water-management vehicles. It is suitable for smaller vehicles.
Very good overnight stay, in a really quiet location. No cars to hear, only birds.
