Been here?
This free university parking area is convenient for visiting Santiago, with the cathedral about 15 minutes away on foot. It is recommended mainly for afternoon visits because parking is prohibited from 9 to 9:30 and from 14 to 14:30. Overnight stays are currently discouraged, and spaces are limited.

Only recommended if you go in the afternoon because there is a no-parking sign from 9 to 9:30 and from 14 to 14:30. We parked because we arrived at midday and spent the afternoon there without problems. It is true that only one free space remained. I do not recommend it for overnight stays.
We spent the night here and it was great. in the morning you have cars passing but to be expected as it is a parking at the University. you can find the University cafe just 3min walk should you want to eat something and work a bit. the city centre is just straight going down the hill about 15-20min walk. We were lucky there was just one space left. A nice park for the dogs near by as well
We did not feel comfortable and went on to the area of Allariz.
Avoid school hours; perfect in the afternoon.
A good place for the city, for one night or for spending a day in town. Toilets can be used at the university. 15 minutes to the cathedral. Worth it.
Not bad for spending one night and visiting Santiago, 12 to 15 minutes on foot from the cathedral. However, the street is above the parking area and there is quite a lot of activity even in summer. If you are a light sleeper, I do not recommend it.
We slept here for one night, level and without noise; cars pass occasionally. Relatively close to the old town.
We spent one night here without problems. Very quiet and completely noise-free. Perfect for visiting central Santiago, no more than 15 minutes on foot. Shaded spot, very cool in summer.
Parked without encountering any problems. Quiet, green area. Very close to the cathedral and historic centre.
Perfect for visiting the city! Quiet neighbourhood, free parking, and 15 minutes on foot from the cathedral. We stayed there during the day.
Well located, 17 minutes from the cathedral and centre. Vehicles over 7 m should avoid it.
Quiet at night, although there are few level spaces.
Very good and quiet place for visiting the city.
Good parking 15 minutes from the cathedral, but not recommended for vehicles 7.5 m or longer. Quiet outside school periods.
An excellent parking area for overnight stays and visiting Santiago. We were unsure how quiet it would be because it is a residential area for university students, but we were surprised: no noise at all; in fact, we slept listening to the birds. It is slightly uneven, but you hardly notice it while sleeping (only in the shower drain). You are 20 minutes from Praza do Obradoiro.
One of the best places in the area, especially for motorhomes and large campers.
A very quiet place and relatively close to the centre on foot; it is quite busy with campers.
Good place to sleep. Quiet area, with many motorhomes. It is an 18-minute walk to Obradoiro Square. I am not giving it 5 stars because there are no services, but everything else is very good, right in the centre.
Great place to park. We only used it during the day, but there were several campers and it was otherwise quiet. There is no sign saying that parking is prohibited.
Free parking 10 minutes’ walk from the cathedral. Some noise from partying students nearby in the evening, but quiet at night with little traffic.
Good place. We parked during the day. Laundry facilities 10 minutes away, other motorhomes, clean and spacious. There is also some activity.
We parked further down this road next to the park as it was less brightly lit and quieter than where the marker is. Slight slope, suitable only to vans. Quiet sleep and short walk to local cafes and swimming pool.
We parked here on a non-school day to visit Santiago, very close to the Natural History Museum (ideal to visit with children) and the cathedral. We did not spend the night, but it seemed like a quiet place to do so. There were several other motorhomes in the same parking area.
