Ski resort parking, quiet overnight

Large asphalt parking area. The dry toilet is very nice! You can take a very charming chairlift up to the Koli visitor center (€12 round trip), or walk up. There is a small hut below and two barbecue areas. From the top, you can hike to Ukko-Koli and beyond. The visitor center is very nice, with a great shop and a lovely café.✦Translating

Great overnight stop if you’re visiting Koli. Large paved parking area with plenty of space, clean dry toilets. Quiet night despite being close to the ski area. Not the most scenic parking, but very practical.

Great spot for a night or two - very large asphalt car park. Lots of space for motorhomes of all sizes.

Large asphalt parking area where overnight stays are allowed. Besides us, there was one caravan and one motorhome. Two clean shelters with good barbecue facilities, and some firewood. Clean dry toilet; bring your own toilet paper. Peaceful night. Overnight stays or camping are prohibited almost everywhere. Here, it is currently allowed.✦Translating

Big and free parking just next to the ski lift and hiking trials. Access by the gravel road. We did not sleep there as we read it is forbidden, but once we come in the morning, it was full of others who definitely spend the night there, so it is manageable ;-)

Well-paved parking area on Friday evening; a few locals also came there to sleep. No prohibition signs. Leveling blocks are needed. Very good starting point for hikes, behind the chairlift. Koli Harbour is 1.4 km away via the trail.✦Translating

A good overnight spot, spacious, with a toilet, and quiet at night. When leaving the parking area, turn right and drive 200 m along the dirt road to reach a fantastic sandy beach with mountain views. It feels like Italy!✦Translating

We spent the night there to visit the park the next day. Clean and quiet. The parking area is new, and although the road is gravel, it is maintained and easy to access. There is also free mobile reception and places to make a fire near the ski visitor center next to the parking area.✦Translating

We wanted to stay another night after enjoying a beautiful trail in the park, but toward evening a car arrived and skidded around the parking area, so we moved to the nearest ABC instead. What a shame—it seemed very peaceful. It may have been a one-off, since there were no other skid marks on the asphalt.✦Translating
