To call it the best campsite on the island seems a little excessive to me. The grounds are maintained, there is a nice short walk in the hills, the common room is spacious and there is a good barbecue, but the rest... The toilets were dirty, there are only two sinks for everyone, and no showers. It is okay when you have no choice.Translating
The best, the finest and cheapest campsite in Iceland. Plenty of space if you arrive late. There are not many electrical hookups. We arrived at 5:30 p.m. on 24 July and still found a place.Translating
Very beautiful and well-maintained campsite above the village, directly next to the cemetery.Translating
Very windy and no showers. Toilets very clean. Kitchen unfortunately a little small. Absolutely quiet. All pitches are on a bumpy meadow.Translating
No electricity. Windy.Translating
We spent two nights at this campsite on the hill overlooking the village and fjords. A large meadow and a building serving as a very welcoming kitchen and dining room. No showers, but very clean and heated toilets. A good base for touring the peninsula.Translating
Clean camping site and easy accessible. Enough space to stay on the gravel and not destroy the gras. Fresh water to fill watertank was not available due to the cold temperature, but this was definitely not a dealbreaker. No shower, but all further facilities (small kitchen, toilets, and kantine) were very clean and tidy.
A beautiful, quiet campsite above the village. Neat facilities such as toilets and a kitchen. No shower, but that is not a problem. Because the grass on one side was destroyed by campers who kept churning up very soft ground, the owner does not want anyone to park there, and this is indicated several times. Unfortunately, many campers continue ploughing through the damaged grass and soil, even though there is literally a good field right next to it.Translating
Great place. Nice warm lounge with cooking facilities. Heated toilets with sinks and a washing machine. The lack of showers is tolerable for a short stay. Everything is super clean. Payment possible by app or QR code.Translating

Nice and cheap (3600krn: 2 pers, no electricity) campground! You can pay cash or online at the website. Clean toilets but no showers. Common kitchen area and good wifi.
Campsite at the top of the village. The common areas have instructions on how to pay online. 1,600 per person plus 400 in taxes. Clean toilets. No showers.Translating
Quite busy but very spacious, slightly elevated with beautiful views. Inexpensive, with a senior discount; municipal swimming pool one kilometre away. Good Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, as everywhere in Iceland, occasional campers with rental vehicles do not know the rules and set up without respecting distances, as if they were in a supermarket car park.Translating
We stayed for one night while passing through. Unfortunately, there are no showers and only four unisex toilets in a shared washroom. Everything was clean and well maintained, and we had a quiet night. For two adults with a campervan without electricity, 3,600 ISK is worth only four stars.Translating
Very nice campsite. Payment via QR code was problem-free for me, or cash in many different currencies. The lounge is large, but the kitchen is very small.Translating
Large site. Internet payment was straightforward. Good grey-water disposal. Drinking water is a little farther away, but excellent. Common room and kitchen okay. Sanitary facilities clean and tidy.Translating
Very pleasant and quiet campsite. Plenty of pitches available and not many people in May. It has a large heated room for eating. Small kitchen without utensils. Clean toilets but no shower.Translating
Spacious pitch, we spent a very quiet night here. Water and waste facilities available, lounge and sanitary facilities okay.Translating
Nice site, but no showers, if you come round from rhino rock it's a long way on a rough grave road. lots of dust
Great campsite! Clean toilets and good facilities, don’t think there’s a shower on-site. We parked our camper in a corner with the back to some trees. Felth like we had the place to ourselves, even though there were about 5/10 other campers.
It saved us for the night because there was nowhere else open. There is no shower, but the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. Payment is made using a QR code inside the kitchen; there is no one there to collect it.Translating
Nice, small site. Reasonably well protected from the wind. Warning: cash payment only. If the owner does not come to collect payment, you have to pay in a box in the lounge. The toilets were clean.Translating
