There is a spot next to the football field, 900 m away, where you will feel more comfortable and the village residents will welcome you more warmly.
I wonder what the local residents think about motorhomes parking here? Would you yourself want fifteen motorhomes outside your home?
Good spot and quiet - we were the only ones to spend the night. We didn't realize that the gondola starts at 11am (September), and we wouldn't have slept here had we known, as we wanted to get an earlier start. Off topic - the Thai restaurant in town has excellent food
Great parking spot for visiting the town centre and hiking Romsdalseggen.
Parking in the town centre. Good place for climbing Rampestreken.
We had a good, level spot here. It costs 150 NOK for 24 hours. The municipal Wi-Fi and clean toilets are available in the cultural centre until 11 p.m. The gondola is a 5-minute walk away. The place is busy during the day. We were alone here at night.
Very practical because it is close to the start of the hike. We went to sleep farther away.
Beautiful parking area at the foot of the Rampestreken hike. Now in winter the parking meter has been removed, so the car park is currently free. Quiet at night; in the morning you are rewarded with a view of the mountains.
A good parking area; the meter was covered, so parking was free in winter. We only parked during a hike, but I imagine it is quiet at night, with only a few houses around.
Parking directly at the Rauma cultural centre. Public toilets inside are freely accessible from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Parking costs 150 NOK per 24 hours. The Romsdalseggen hiking trail starts very nearby. One point deducted because the car park is very busy in the morning and evening. Otherwise, great after the hike. Showers are available at nearby petrol stations for little money.
We spent the night here on Sunday, 23 October 2022. Very quiet parking area in the centre of Åndalsnes, next to the library. We asked the locals and it seems that at this time of year it is not charged; the parking meter and payment sign have been deactivated. Good place to spend the night.
