Camping Selva de Oza

We love coming to this campsite. At the beginning of July it feels like having the place to ourselves, then the peak season starts and it usually gets busy. No mobile coverage; Wi-Fi is available at the bar. The facilities are good, including a bathtub for children. There are no marked pitches—you arrive and choose a spot.

We stayed on 18 June. Basic and simple campsite. Clean bathrooms, good views and good food in the restaurant. Very good service and very friendly staff. The road to get there is very narrow. If you have a large motorhome, try to go during quieter hours. We managed the climb with 7.5 metres, but some sections were nerve-racking. No coverage, so make the most of it.

Two grassy areas. On the left, a sloping field with a few flat spaces at the bottom. On the right, behind the building, many more flat spaces. Access road with some very narrow sections. Decent sanitary facilities. No mobile network. The Wi-Fi near reception works well. €55 for two nights, two adults and one dog.

Although they say they are open all year, I wrote to them on Monday afternoon, 19 May, and they replied on Tuesday morning, 20 May, saying that until June they are only open at weekends. Luckily, I had already found another place in the area to spend the night. Please clarify this on the website and in the Park4night description, because saying “Open all year” is misleading.

In an email today they said, that at the moment the Camping is only open at the weekends.

How disappointing: after a long journey, we found everything closed! It is really unpleasant after such an exhausting drive to discover that it is shut. A lock on the gate, a rope across the terrace. Very poor way to treat potential customers, especially when the location is difficult to reach. I advise against making the trip here.

A small campsite in a very beautiful area for walking. One thing missing is washing machines. The restaurant is not very cheap, but it is acceptable. I did not like that they served coffee only in disposable cups. The bathrooms are fine and comfortable for showering. The staff are friendly.

A very beautiful campsite in a spectacular location. The downside is that there is no mobile coverage of any kind and the Wi-Fi does not reach the camping area… If you want to disconnect from the world, it is ideal. The last 4 km before reaching the campsite are very stressful: the road is extremely narrow, so be careful when meeting another vehicle. But the destination is worth it. There are many hiking routes.

Please note, with a maximum of 3.5 m you can drive beyond the bus stop, close to the entry of the parc before the tunnels. We are higher and had to back down in order to turn around. If you are higher, we are not sure if you can reach the campsite. It would be good if this sign was posted way down the road to avoid higher vehicles going up.

Spectacular campsite. Unbeatable surroundings. A place for great hikes and disconnecting.

No fixed entry or exit times. €36 per night for a campervan, two adults and two children. Electricity costs an additional €6 per day. There are only four showers, but they are clean and the water is hot. Many activities in the area. The shop has basic supplies, and bread is available at the restaurant for €2 a loaf.

Cheap campsite, but bear in mind that it is the only overnight option in the upper part of the valley. Few services, but that is fine—you are in the mountains. The river is right beside you for swimming. The downside is the access road: with a motorhome you just fit, and it is two-way. When you meet oncoming vehicles, it becomes a game of Tetris. Note that there is no internet.

High-mountain campsite with only basic comforts. The only real overnight option in the upper part of the Hecho Valley. They take advantage of this, and I think it is expensive for what it offers. A beer there costs more than in Montmartre, even though deliveries arrive at the same door. I only recommend it for mountaineering in the area; otherwise, it is very remote and difficult to access.

We spent one night and liked it very much. Special place. Narrow road to get there.

My favourite campsite, one of the few remaining where camping and choosing your own location are allowed. Mostly tents and mountaineers’ campervans. My favourite valley in the Spanish Pyrenees. Motorhomes have a difficult road to access. Complaint: yesterday, Saturday 2 August, probably the busiest day of the year, reception was still closed at 10:30 in the morning. The Wi-Fi only works intermittently and only right next to reception.

The peace and tranquillity in the area are incredible, as is the variety of hiking routes. It is an unknown area, and that is better. If you come with a large motorhome, you will sweat and pray not to meet anything on the access road, but the effort is absolutely worth it. The area is poor and expensive gastronomically. The campsite is a 10: tranquillity and facilities, with a fair price.

Everything was excellent. Unbeatable location, friendly service and a reasonable price for where you are. I will return whenever I can. We managed the access road well with a 7-metre motorhome, carefully and slowly. Highly recommended. We were two adults, three children and a motorhome in early July, €32 per day.

A paradise of peace and tranquillity in the middle of Oza Forest. Lots of hiking routes start at the campsite entrance. Definitely worth repeating.

Beautiful, spacious site with a restaurant (large portions, very friendly service). Good starting point for hikes.

Best feature: the campsite’s location. Beautiful surroundings and close to many hiking routes. Worst feature: cleanliness of the bathrooms and too few showers for so many people. If you choose a pitch, they are not marked out. No mobile coverage, only Wi-Fi at the bar.

The space is tight and not divided into pitches. It can get crowded. Bathrooms are in good condition and the water is hot. Wi-Fi is only available at the bar. There is access to the river. Wonderful surroundings. Nice staff. €23 for two adults and one campervan for one night.

Extremely busy campsite (normal for August). Located in the mountains, with a very beautiful view. No mobile network; Wi-Fi is available at reception but is poor. The dish we ate in the restaurant was really not good, so we do not recommend it. Bring an extension cable if you want access to electricity. Bread and breakfast are available. Dogs allowed.

An incredible place to get away and disconnect from the world. Incredible scenery! The campsite facilities are adequate and fairly clean, and the staff are very friendly. It is not divided into pitches, so it can sometimes be crowded. The restaurant serves very good food. We will definitely return.
