A free overnight car park in central Athenry. It is beside a busy road and school, so traffic and school-day noise can be significant. Weekend or school-holiday stays may be more suitable. A larger, probably quieter car park is across town beside Kenny Park GAA Ground.

See my notes in the description. It's permissable to park here, but thats all it has going for it. Pretty noisy and probably not a good place on school days. The town of Athenry is very beautiful and if you're there on a weekend I'd recommend watching Football or Hurling at Kenny Park. Lovely ground backed onto by the medieval town walls.
