A free, shady picnic and parking area open day and night without restrictions, with many tables, a playground and drinking water. The centre of Grosseto is a 15/20-minute walk or 5 minutes by bike. Families and local people use the area during the day, while it becomes quieter at night; recycling bins and security cameras are available.

The line next to the trees is always shaded. Families and elderly people passing by at all times. At some point in the night it becomes quite. 15/20 min walk to the centre, 5 min biking. Small recycling bins are available for tourist as well. Security cameras on site. There is the small church ringing the bells every hour (from 7am till 10/11pm), but it's not bothering me.
Full of local people, but we were able to cook undisturbed at the picnic tables (of which there are many). Great fountain! Not ideal for spending the night if you are looking for some privacy.
Perfect for a picnic; there are tables.
Unfortunately, the playground is very run-down and the area is not very inviting. We only took a short break and then preferred to move on.
