Lochside parking, flies at night

Amazing place by the lake!fits 3 vans! Careful with flies on the evening

I agree with all the previous reviews this is a great place for a stop over. However beware When using google maps the directions took us past the lay-by and down a very narrow road on the side of the loch! We just managed to turn around in our 7m van and used the photos from the App to identify the correct location.

Beautiful spot next to the Loch. Next to the road but quiet at night time. Phone signal is good and there is a bin provided. Toilets are a few minutes drive away.

No issues other than a bit of wind, road noise infrequent, lovely views, bin there, good wifi signal. would stay again

Four stars because it is still roadside, but traffic is almost nonexistent at night. There were two motorhomes and two vans here that night. A major advantage: sheltered from the very strong wind blowing that day. Magnificent view. Rubbish bin.✦Translating

Small parking area for about two campers, with a beautiful view of the loch. Calm in the evening, with no midges. Then very windy at night. The road is quiet at night. Sign indicating that parking or camping on the grass is prohibited.✦Translating

Quiet, level place with a very beautiful view. Excellent 4G reception. No services apart from a rubbish bin and a picnic table. A major drawback: there are huge numbers of midges in the late afternoon, evening, night, and morning. I had to leave upon waking, before even packing my things.✦Translating

Very quiet. Overnight stays are allowed provided the place is respected. No fire, no awning extended, and no table either. Everything must take place inside the vehicle. It was 14 degrees outside this evening, which did not bother us. There are shops nearby, but it is beside the loch and very quiet, with little traffic.✦Translating

Just stopped for a pastry with a view and let the dogs stretch their legs. Gorgeous views - and quite sheltered from the wind - tarmac, pretty flat. Have tagged to stay here overnight in future!

Quiet and peaceful free parkup. Toilets available a short drive away. Picnic bench and bin. Great views over the water and can catch the sunset on a clear night. Great stop on the nc500. Leave no trace!! Keep vehicles and fires off the grass.

Absolutely stunning view!! highly recommended, very quiet at night with only a few cars driving by. incredible sunset and golden hour on the Loch, we loved it.

Great place to stopover. Enough space for 2/3 motorhomes. Flat. Lovely views over loch. Relatively quiet a bit if traffic early morning. Only one other campervan when we were there. Bin and picnic table.

A bit of traffic on a normal road, so there is some traffic, and since we are close by, it can be noisy, but there is a beautiful panorama and it is flat.✦Translating

Set back a bit from a quiet road this is a nice quiet spot for the night. The bottom of the lay-by is a lot flatter but can definitely fit 4 campers in, we had 2 neighbours and didn’t feel like we were too close to each other. Great views of the loch and just off the NC500 route.
