Been here?
This campsite is about 15 minutes on foot from Playmobil Park and offers clean sanitary facilities, hot showers included and a small play area. The layout is open with little privacy and many permanent residents, while the restaurant in the mill is well regarded. The grey-water discharge is awkward, and the site can become crowded, with 40a50 vehicles sharing 2 showers. Entry and registration begin at 15:00.

Excellent campsite, clean sanitary facilities, free showers and dishwashing water. Open layout, so little privacy, with many permanent campers. Bread delivery service via PayPal. Nuremberg is about 45 minutes away by bicycle.
The campsite itself is probably fine, but the camping field is awful. We emailed for three nights and still ended up on the barren transit field. People park one metre in front of your door while half the field is empty. Forty to fifty vehicles, around 100 people, sharing two shower cubicles with doors means long waits. On the last evening there was even a large group of noisy youths. The field is next to an asphalt plant and frequently smells of tar.
Complicated welcome and procedures. You have to wait until 3 p.m. to check in and enter. The motorhome facilities are difficult to access and insufficient for a campsite of this size. The electrical points are limited and require extremely long cables to connect.
A very pleasant campsite for a one-night stop before continuing the journey. The sanitary facilities are immaculate and the staff very welcoming. We recommend it.
Good value for money. The sanitary facilities were clean and tidy. Excellent restaurant in the mill.
A very pleasant campsite for an overnight stay before continuing the journey. The bathrooms are very clean, the staff very friendly, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. There is also a restaurant at the campsite serving tasty food.
We booked a pitch at short notice and got one. Very friendly welcome. Showers were very clean and free. The playground is great; our daughter loved it.
Very nice campsite with a friendly welcome and a small kiosk with everything you need; a small playground that our grandchildren loved; the sanitary facilities are not the newest but very clean; a pleasant restaurant in the mill; and a fun park about 15 minutes away on foot. We felt very comfortable here.
My review concerns the tent meadow. The meadow is great for camping. The rather long walk to the old sanitary facilities by the restaurant leads through the area for seasonal campers. The facilities are really old, with only two toilets and showers. Everything is clean, but what will it be like when the meadow is full?
A nice campsite, simple but clean, well maintained, with modernized sanitary facilities. Very pleasant atmosphere, very friendly staff, helpful employees. Small pub with delicious Franconian food, small shop with the essentials and bread roll service. We really enjoyed our time, the fun park was within walking distance, cycling tours are possible on circular routes, and shops are accessible. TOP
A very nice campsite. Quiet, large pitches, good and clean sanitary facilities, and delicious food in the beer garden. A bus and the metro go to Nuremberg city center. Easy and convenient to reach!
Unfortunately, we only stayed here for one night. The price-performance ratio is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are clean. We would be happy to come back.
Cozy small campsite. Very reasonable value for money. Close to the motorway and city center. Clean sanitary facilities and a small playground are available. Dogs are allowed.
Friendly staff, clear explanation of how to get to Nuremberg by bus in about 20 minutes. Very quiet campsite. Close to Playmobil Park, which can be reached on foot. We had a very good experience.
Very friendly welcome with all the information needed to get to Nuremberg by bus. There were enough sanitary facilities for us and they were very clean. Indeed, many children make noise, but that is part of the fun at the Playmobil FunPark next door! We recommend it! €133 for three nights for four people with electricity.
Very friendly, I was able to refill water without any problems, 10 cents for about 40 to 50 liters. Disposal of gray and black water possible. Top.
We felt very comfortable here. Booking in advance was uncomplicated and very camper-friendly. Electricity and water were available on the camper meadow with a cable reel. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service was good. One or two stars deducted because the sanitary facilities are simply too small for the site and unfortunately not particularly clean. There are three toilets and two showers for women. Long queues form here in the evening. That was not ideal with a child.
The site is generally getting old and probably depends heavily on Playmobil tourism. The shower was cold at 8 p.m. Attention! After making a reservation on the website, you first receive an offer that only becomes valid after confirmation! We then got a place on the camping meadow. The camping meadow is nice, but you can often hear the factory behind the forest.
Everything perfectly fine. There is a great restaurant, mostly with beer-garden seating and self-service. Plenty of clean sanitary facilities. Large pitches.
Nice, small campsite, ideal for families visiting Playmobil FunPark. Clean sanitary facilities and friendly staff. Absolutely fine for a stopover. Tip: The “Zur alten Mühle” restaurant is highly recommended!
Excellent for visiting Playmobil amusement park!
The sanitary facilities are rather outdated and were not cleaned sufficiently. The pitch is not grass but soil and sand, which brings a lot of dirt into the vehicle without a mat. Check-in after 7 p.m. was possible without any problems after calling, which is great. We were there for the DTM; Nuremberg was reachable by public transport in one hour. It suited our purpose, but it is not for a longer stay.
Ideal for a trip to Playmobil Land. Cozy beer garden/restaurant Zur alten Mühle. Otherwise just average.
Actually three and a half stars, but unfortunately that is not possible. A bit noisy, and unfortunately quiet hours only start at 11 p.m. But it is clean and the playground is perfectly fine. Completely acceptable for a stopover.
Nice campsite, no luxury but more than adequate! Arrival until 10 p.m.; with telephone information, the chip and key code are left for you. Departure until noon. Two people, one dog, two nights, electricity €66. Twenty minutes to Nuremberg city center. We were there for the Mammutmarsch, an inexpensive alternative compared with the other option. Washrooms are not new but always clean. The showers were really great—finally a hot campsite shower, with adjustable temperature.
We stayed four nights on the camping meadow. The walk to sanitary building 1 is okay, a long way through the seasonal campers. The toilet and shower facilities are really very outdated. Fortunately, our pitch was close to electricity. Many seasonal campers. The camping meadow is okay but not really great. No lighting, no marked pitches, everyone parks as they like. Payment only possible in cash! We would not come here again.
Well-laid-out site with large pitches. Sanitary facilities clean but somewhat outdated. Unfriendly staff at reception; payment with VISA is not welcomed because of fees, apparently only possible for foreigners. Bread roll service available. The washroom light stays on until midnight. Sinks, washing machine and dryer are available in the basement. About 1.5 km to Playmobil FunPark.
The campsite is very nice, quiet, with very clean toilets, and the staff are really lovely. Three days with electricity, four people and two dogs, €125.
