Paid motorhome area on gravel near Biarritz, €8–10 per 24 hours. Located 100m from beaches and 7km from Biarritz via bike path. Services include water loading and grey-water discharge; toilets available. No electricity or shade. Very noisy from traffic and nearby industrial activity. Entry gate often open with inconsistent enforcement; long-term residents with boats occupy spaces.

Spacious stopping area 7 km from Biarritz, which we reached via the cycle path. Automated entrance with ticket. Fresh-water filling, grey-water and toilet emptying. Beach 200 m away, or accessible along the cycle path. Quiet night.
Pleasant area; too bad some people pitch their tents even though caravans and tents are prohibited. Electricity is missing for the price.
The parking area is not great, with no view, but its location is excellent: 100 m from the beaches, which are 5 km long, with restaurants along the coastal path and a dog beach.
Good area, nothing more. No rubbish bins; the emptying point is badly located.
Thanks for providing the services free of charge. However, as a place to stay, it is really not a dream location. Dusty hollow ground, no view, no shade.
Recommended. Well located, quiet and pleasant next to the sea. What I think is wrong is that you pay an entrance fee and then also have to pay per person. Services are free outside the enclosure.
The service area is outside the parking area and is free. Slurry from the toilet goes into the manhole, not the grey-water drain. Thanks.
€9.72 just for a gravel lot with a barrier... The water is free, admittedly, but access is not reserved for motorhomes! The cassette toilet cannot even be emptied at the parking area! Average in my opinion... We are willing to pay, but it should be worth the price.
Thanks to the municipality for this facility: flat ground, no shade, close to the beach. The steelworks was very noisy at night because we sleep under a pop-up roof.
It was quite difficult for us to enter because the machine does not issue a ticket and does not work very well. €8 for 24 hours; the phones at the entrance do not work. It has filling and emptying facilities. Although it is a gravel parking area, the location is spectacular, with luxurious views and an excellent position. Ideal for walking, fishing, sunbathing, the skate park, and surfing beaches.
Somewhat complicated to check in. Quite loud ship-engine noise at night. Hopefully the crazy driver who did donuts in the neighboring parking lot yesterday will not be there every night.
The area is open again. The location is incredible, right next to the ocean. Free water point at the entrance and a motorhome workshop 200 m away.
Entry not possible. Completely occupied by fairground workers.
We could not enter; the area is empty and a message appears on the screen saying: "New entry unavailable" and that a code must be presented. We had the same problem at the nearby Corsairs area.
Closed today (21/11/2025), apparently for some time, perhaps for the winter. The Corsairs area a few kilometers away remains available.
Construction and city works noise all day, unbearable. Avoid.
We stayed one night. Quiet at night. Close to the beach. Emptying is possible before the barrier.
A very quiet place at night. A van left its rubbish behind before departing, what a disgrace. The rats arrived immediately. Too bad there are dirty people.
The location is not as bad as the comments said. It is a simple location near the port, so you may eventually hear a ship in the distance. The first beach is just 200 m away. There were lots of motorhomes and vans. There is a grey-, black- and clean-water facility just before the parking barrier. We paid €9.80 for 24 hours in October. Did not see any rats.
Gravel parking area without a view because it is low-lying. Very nicely landscaped beach promenade, busy at weekends, with a skate park, playgrounds, bars and a restaurant. The harbor opposite is clearly audible, especially when a ship is loading or unloading bulk goods overnight.
Great for spending the night.
Three stars because it only offers filling and emptying facilities; in October it costs just €9.72 including tourist tax for two people. The cathedral is 6.2 km away by bicycle.
There is plenty of space for caravans and it is located in front of the Plage de la Barre surf spot—recommended, though there is no electricity or showers.
The price-performance ratio is unbeatable! Level gravel pitch 50 m from the sea. Within walking distance, about 100 m and 300 m away, are two restaurants, one with a guaranteed sunset view! There is also a huge children's playground with a skate track and access points for surfing enthusiasts! Disposal station and water connection available—all for €13.72 per day! We felt safe and comfortable.
Pleasant, clean, quiet parking area close to the sea.
It is clean, but there is no shade or services, and the factory noise is very noticeable, although it is appreciated that there are places to spend the night.
Human beings are eternally dissatisfied! I find the comments outrageous! Quiet area, 150 m from the beach, surfing, skating, playground, restaurant, and the little extra: a great restaurant with a magnificent sunset on the promenade 50 m away! I come every year and have still never seen any rats! Great spot!
Those who charge us €13 and some change for this place should look at themselves in the mirror in the morning and ask: why am I bringing motorhomes here?
Unhygienic motorhome area, with a huge puddle at the entrance that is impossible to cross on foot. The municipality should be ashamed to offer such a dirty, poorly located area.
Leave nothing outside; it is infested with rats. Parking for emergencies.
Spot on grass and dirt near the beach, with a bar 100 m away on the promenade. We stayed one night with a table and chairs outside. It was full by late afternoon. Very windy. Cycle paths nearby.
Motorhome area with water and emptying facilities. No electricity. Fairly quiet, with one or two spots under a pine tree; all the rest are in the sun. The ground is gravelly and dusty. A useful place for one night.
Area only for extreme emergencies. In a dirty-looking zone, very far from everything. Avoid.
Free, practical and welcome parking for a stopover. The sea is right there. We arrived in the late afternoon in the rain and spent an excellent night, lulled by the sound of the waves—and a few cars, admittedly, since we are on the road to Reggio Calabria; some traffic must be accepted! No services, but the major advantage is the excellent Conad supermarket directly opposite.
