Windmill parking, early shooting noise

Very large parking area. We spent a Thursday night completely alone. There is no shade. Quite a few cars passed until late at night, but there was no noise or trouble, although it seems there may be people partying with bottles on weekends. Beware of fire-ant nests; do not park on them because the ants will climb onto you and bite.

It is the parking area for the windmills, but since it is very large there is no problem. You can spend the night and it is level. We stayed on a Saturday night and there were some cars playing loud music, but they left soon and we were able to sleep.

Perfect place for spending the night. We stayed one weekday night with two other motorhomes. It was very peaceful and is a perfect place to visit the windmills. No services.

The place itself is incredible, but not recommended after 5 a.m. This is a shooting field; the hunters have no compassion and shoot at everything. We had to leave because they were shooting nearby. It seems incredible that the town hall allows shooting here, with the danger of hitting a person, child, or dog, since they were on the path and in the windmill parking area.

This area offers several parking possibilities. The big parking at the windmills and a smaller parking behind the picknick area, which is a bit more secluded. Basically, both areas offer a lot of tranquility during the night, are flat and graveled. During the day it becomes busy with visitors of the mills and locals going for a dogwalk, watch your step! Little pollution around, bins available.
