Excellent campsite. Beautiful pitches shaded by plane trees. The only drawback is that only a few people are lucky enough to have satellite reception. Otherwise, the Wi-Fi is not great, so bring a connection using mobile data sharing or a cable for an antenna. Very friendly staff. Ideally located near the Charente. Very popular with the older French population. Tile grout in showers needs a scrub as mouldy and not difficult to do. having turned up at 12 with a dog who was struggling in 39 in my van which has no air con, we were refused to be able to park up early to get out of the sun. Receptionist told me to park on the road in full sun. She said they had no free spaces until 2pm; there were plenty free.

Services at the motorhome area a little farther away; black-water disposal in the campsite toilets. Well-designed sanitary facilities, but avoid being the last to use them in the evening, as the squeegee is not always used. Everything is 500 meters away: town center, ropeworks, and supermarket.
