I have been parking overnight here for years without trouble. This morning I got my first ticket: £70, or £35 if paid within 14 days. I see it as the price of a campsite these days. It is unsurprising given the amount of toilet paper in the hedges. Dig a hole or use a bag with cat litter in it; stop ruining beautiful places that people come to enjoy.
lovely place to park up with a beautiful beach. Have stayed overnight for last couple of years with no problems, stopped overnight on 19/02/26 and woke up with a ticket which was issued at 0413. Shame it was a cracking overnight stop.
Warning: contrary to previous information, staying overnight here is not permitted between midnight and 6 a.m.
I stayed here for most of summer 2025 and received only one ticket on the May bank holiday. In late September and early October, ticket officers came out every day and ticketed anyone staying. The tickets were issued at around 4:25 a.m.
We stayed here overnight on 23/08/25. There must have been 40+ other vans on the roadside. No signs on the road saying no overnight. No issues at all. That good we came back the following weekend and stayed again 23/08 & 24/08. Same scenario, many vans. More towards the ferry end but still plenty by the gate. Some noisy cars/bikes but quiet after 11pm. Lovely walks either side of the road.
