Beach parking, noisy seagulls

A spacious spot close to the beach. Many places to eat nearby. The local residents were friendly. By bicycle, you can reach Clacton Pier along the seafront in no time.✦Translating

Free bwhy do poeple give bad review Enough grass ground for 100 motorhomes pub round the corner with Chinese / kebab shop. Poeple are helpful the beech is very very sandy. Clacton pier around 1 mile away nice walk with cycle path there's a weatherspoon opposite the pier cheap drinks & food I will come here again. 25/04/2026✦Translating

It's a legitimate free space for parking up campers for a night BUT not for the faint hearted. It is surrounded by some derelict buildings as well as family homes, shops and restaurants. We wussed out.✦Translating

Stayed for a night while spending a couple of days visiting the nearby St Osyths beach. Yes it’s a bit of a run down area, but I found it ok and had a perfectly nice stay overnight. My only criticism was the Seagulls which seemed to enjoy landing on my roof and making a bit of noise! Apart from that I thought it was a convenient spot, good phone signal, free, shops nearby and very near the beach. ✦Translating

A patch of grass in a very run down housing estate. We did not feel comfortable to stop. Would not recommend. ✦Translating

Relaxing 1 nights stay here. 2 minutes walk to the beautiful sandy beach. Shops close by with bakers, grocers, take away Indian/Chinese/kebab/fish and chips. Defo be back to try new Turkish restaurant and bar. It’s a super nights stopover - and free!✦Translating

This parking area should urgently be removed from the app. The police drove over shortly after we arrived and strongly advised us not to spend the night here. They said crime in the immediate area was extremely high.✦Translating

Right in the middle of a housing estate bins overflowing rubbish all over not a very nice place to park would not leave my vehicle here for fear off getting broken into very unsafe ✦Translating

Great spot, but beware of muddy conditions. The field is really muddy and soggy, no stone surface and I am currently stuck in the mud, the van won’t move. ✦Translating
