Riverside picnic stop, overnight prohibited

A wonderful place! However, it is not permitted to stay here. A national park ranger just came by. This is not a parking area; vehicles may only park off the road in designated parking spaces. I drove farther ahead to the official parking area, which is also very nice.

Nice place by the river. Road is narrow but just repared so no problem to get here.

The place is really beautiful. One drawback is the narrow access road. We reached it easily with our small motorhome, but on the way back we destroyed a side window on a filled tree trunk sticking out of the bushes.

This is a nice spot with a beautiful view of the river, nestled in a remote area surrounded by forest. It features a bench, a table, and a cozy fireplace, making it an ideal place to spend the night. The only downside is the occasional noise from passing cars on a nearby road.

Beautiful view in the middle of nature. Swimming is possible, but access to the river is not easy. We are here with a 6-meter van.

Actually there are 2 places, one bit left. Excellent place to stay for a day or two. Toilet is a hole in the floor, but clean.

Great view, picturesque location, barbecue area, benches, covered shelter, footpath down to the Gauja, beautiful area for hiking, additional parking nearby (50 m).

Very nice, very quiet place and relatively accessible despite the roadworks on the main road! Enough space for several vehicles.

You just have to turn to the road google maps shows even though the construction is going on. There is a small traffic sign that shows that there is a crossing. So even if it looks weird you can drive through the construction to the road which leads to this place.

Nice and quiet ( no traffic noises as mentioned). The highway next to the place is under constraction, but there was small temporaty road to make the turn. Toilet has a hole in the floor (no potty). Possible to go downhill to swim in the river.
