Elbstraße 10, 01589, Riesa
Been here?
These motorhome spaces are directly beside the Elbe, with the city centre, shopping and riverside walking routes within easy reach. Overnight stays require two day tickets, totaling €12, according to the city administration. The entrance is narrow and steep, and vehicles with a long rear overhang may scrape; the site is considered suitable for motorhomes up to 6.50 m with little overhang. The pitches are sloping, and there is no waste disposal.

Basically a beautiful place, but not recommended for motorhomes with a long rear overhang. You could ground the rear when driving down to the parking area, so I did not try it. Therefore suitable only for motorhomes up to 6.5 meters with little overhang. The weather payment is correct; I would pay €6 during the day and another €6 at 8 a.m.
Sloping spaces. The entrance is narrow and steep; be careful with a long overhang. The area was quite littered, which is a real shame. The parking meter is a disaster: supposedly free parking from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m., but the ticket says until 11:59 p.m. So which is it? You probably need two tickets. I would not spend the night here.
Spent a quiet night here after a concert.
Only three stars—why? There is no waste disposal at the parking area. The payment system at the parking meter is incredibly confusing; you probably need a degree to understand it. We had an unpleasant discussion with the local police about how we should park, even though we had been alone in the parking area for several days.
Very beautiful place with a view of the Elbe and within walking distance of the town center.
Whether you pay by app (€6.50) or in cash (€6.00), a day ticket is valid only until midnight, according to the printed information. The city administration said that if you want to stay past midnight, you must buy two day tickets, for a total of €12.
Very beautiful place directly on the Elbe, very quiet, and a starting point for cycling and hiking along the river, including Riesa Abbey and the Elbe Cycle Route. Access is via a ramp and very difficult for motorhomes with a long overhang. Our tow hitch scraped. Highly recommended.
If you book via the app, it costs nothing between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., so it is good for overnight stays. However, this is not indicated anywhere; you only notice it in the app when you try to pay and enter the correct times. Using the toilet is not recommended.
After visiting the Noodle Museum, we spent a quiet night here. Nice view of the Elbe, the city center is very close for a walk, and shopping is also convenient. Good cycling opportunities. Via the app you pay €6.50 until 8 a.m. the next morning. I would have paid €12 at the machine, but it accepted neither Visa, Mastercard nor a regular debit card. The toilet is at the very end of the parking area; we did not use it.
Directly on the Elbe. Very peaceful night. You can barbecue on the meadow between the parking area and the river at the public barbecue area. Separate containers are provided for ash, but not hot coals. There is a small beach bar next door inviting you to have a drink; it is open until midnight on Fridays. It was very quiet. I am happy to pay €12 until the next day and have breakfast on the meadow.
Paved parking area for a lot of money with a questionable payment system: the booking runs until 11:59 p.m., so you have to pay for two days to stay one night. No services whatsoever, simply a parking area.
Beautiful parking area directly on the Elbe and almost directly next to the pedestrian zone. We were alone here and spent a very peaceful night. We will gladly return.
