Hinten am See, 8750, Glarus
Been here?
Two-row gravel parking area beside a restaurant near the lake, run by the municipality as a paid 24-hour parking spot rather than a campsite. Camping behaviour and overnight stays are banned throughout the valley; only two nearby campsites allow that. The restaurant, once closed for renovation, has reopened. Bins are on site, and a chemical toilet was present at least at one point. Quiet, scenic setting.

Good place to spend the day; camping and overnight stays are not permitted anywhere in the valley except at the two campsites. It costs about 15 francs per day.
The restaurant is open; it is no longer being renovated, and the parking lot is paid.
We stayed in the public municipal parking lot directly next to the restaurant. You can stay there for 7.50 francs per 24 hours. This is a wonderful place, and to ensure it remains available for motorhomes, please follow the rules and do not behave as if camping. There are bins and, at the moment, even portable toilets.
No problem; if necessary, you can stay here overnight.
Parking only is permitted here. For overnight stays, the two campsites are available. Camping is prohibited throughout the area.
